Since we're probably all going to be competing in the same admissions cycle, how many of you are actively trying to sabotage the rest of us?

I will also be working (full-time) and studying for the LSAT. I am currently registered for the February test, but preparations have yet to begin so I think I will be taking the exam in June 2015.
I most likely will purchase the Cambridge LSAT bundle (1-38 organized by type, and the subsequent (full) PTs through #72). My ideal is to retake the tests and get through/analyze each question a few times to improve my aptitute.
In retrospect, I wish I had not purchased some of the tests in book version. In addition to PowerScore LG and LR guides, I also have the Examkrackers LSAT RC guide, SuperPrep guide (+ tests A, B, C), practice tests 7,9,10-16, 18, 29-38, and 52-61 in book format. I will most likely get these pages 'unbound' for ease of practice. I also have test 69 in pamphlet form and hope to purchase up through the test 72.
Next steps:
Read through PowerScore LG and LR chapters twice and make a "cheat sheet" of main points from each chapter.
Read first 63 pages of SuperPrep and take conscise notes for reference.
Browse LSAC info page and print helpful articles (and free LSAT June 2007 PT).
Take superprep tests A, B, C as practice.
Complete and score test 69 (as diagnostic).
Purchase Cambridge LSAT materials.
Long way to go.
Thanks for the support!

Checking in! I will be studying during my last semester of UG (though I do not plan on applying during 2015-16 cycle: I thought it'd be easier to study for the LSAT now rather than while working)

Yup, working full time unfortunately. Still trying to find a balance between working, studying, and having a life.mds6d wrote:Thanks for the advice, peppermint

Fluorite, good to have you on board.
Also great to see that I'm not the only one working & studying.
For those of you who work and/or are in classes, do you prefer studying early in the mornings before work or later at nights when you get off? Those two periods are typically when I am the most exhausted, so I am going to try and fit some exercise in and avoid caffeine, although I suppose the latter can be forgivable since we are still so far out from test date

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
I am not a morning person, so getting up early just to study will never happen. I study after work and at work when I'm able to do so. I've been studying through lunch as of late. I do notice that at a certain point after work, it's not worthwhile for me to study. There's a huge difference between my abilities at noon vs. 6 pm vs. 10 pm. I really think it depends on the person, though. Give both a try and see which you prefer.mds6d wrote:Fluorite, good to have you on board.

I generally can't focus noon-afternoon (which worries me about June LSAT not being a morning exam)

One of the main reasons I'm taking the June test is because it's not a morning exam. My lack of brain functioning during this time is why I prefer to do my daily run/workout before work, instead of after work, even though it means getting up at 430.
I only study for the exam after work.

For me, studying in the morning is impossible. I'm generally not fully awake until my second class of the day.

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Weekend studying for me until I quit my job in February. It's hard to study during the week because for the life of my the only place I can study is at the library, but only a certain library that's half an hour from me. In order to get a good 4-5 hours in, I have to be completely clear schedule-wise, even an hour or two prior and after my study session. I can knock out a game or two, or maybe some RC during the week if I'm bossing it and feeling like making some of that hard progress. I find working out after works best for me unless it's cardio. For some reason once I turn on my jock switch, my brain is useless for the rest of the day. But when I workout afterwards, it's a perfect kind of stress relief. I'm pretty sure I'm going to start golfing and going to the shooting range more often to break up these 40 hour study weeks I'm trying to start come Feb.

How are you guys using the LB bible? Just going straight through it doing exactly what PS says? Also drilling the relevant game type after each chapter?

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
When I did it I went straight through, I think. If I recall correctly, there were some games throughout, right? I think I only did those. Then I began drilling and went back to the books. But looking back, it may have been better to add in more drills after learning about a section. I think you'll be fine with either option.a_parm wrote:same question but with manhattan LRRZ5646 wrote:How are you guys using the LB bible? Just going straight through it doing exactly what PS says? In regards to LR, I definitely think that drilling types after you learn that type is a good idea.

How many of you are actually printing out games vs. just doing them in a notebook while viewing them on your computer?

I'd suggest printing them out. You aren't going to be using a computer on test day.RZ5646 wrote:How many of you are actually printing out games vs. just doing them in a notebook while viewing them on your computer?
