Re: Feb 2011 LSAT afterparty thread
Thanks, Pleasye.
It went... well, it went.
Ran out of time on both RC and LR (????) and ended up random bubbling like 6 questions between the two and random-picking-between-two-choices on at least two of them, maybe up to 4.
So I'm not super happy with how it went and I'm pretty sure I'll retake in June. LR was a breeze, though.
My best guess? 162-167, though I anticipate it's closer to the lower end of that spectrum.
How was yours?

Question - when they say the Feb test isn't disclosed, does that mean that all we get is a Score? No breakdown amongst the individual sections?
Or does it mean that we won't get the actual test back?

This is the best I've felt basically on any test I've ever taken. I've noticed though, that how I feel after a test has only a mild correlation to actual performance. I'm gonna guess 174-180. Feel very happy to be done, last time I'll ever, ever take an LSAT, even though I'll still be tutoring for at least another few months.

So did the concensus turn out that it was 102 or 101 questions? 102 would be awesome, would make me more confident in a -12 curve.

Re: Feb 2011 LSAT afterparty thread
Mine was okay. I had LG as my first section and messed up a rule in the last game so I was pissed but that was the experimental yay! I found RC difficult but I was able to finish so that's good. LR is...I don't fucking know.vissidarte27 wrote:Thanks, Pleasye.

Re: Feb 2011 LSAT afterparty thread
First time poster, need to destress after test.
I ended up with RC, LR, RC, LG, LR.
The 1st RC was experimental - the only thing I can remember from it was the African American comic strip artist.
Err...I remember a passage about chemistry and its relation to physics. Dunno which section.
RC is my strong point - and I think they were quite easy in this one. Course I could be wrong lol.
LR - no clue.
LG - didn't even get to the last one. Did guess and check for the snow plow definitely. Froo all of them actually.
Didn't sleep well the night before and that didn't help for the LG. Can anyone give a general impressions of the last LG game - easy or hard? Easier than the snow plow one?
Honestly, I felt all the LG was HARD but then LG is not my butter and bread. And I was burned out.

Re: Feb 2011 LSAT afterparty thread
Got a nervous 3 hours of sleep before Dec and had a 168 with -8 on RC, which was a first. PTs are mid-high 170s with an occasional 180, but I usually miss max 2 on games, this games section wasn't horrible, but it was time consuming, so I put my losses there at 3-5. The other sections were pretty straightforward with an odd twist in the comparative RC, so the rest of the test probably meant a loss of 2-5. Since it was overall straightforward with most people finding the RC or LG section (or both) SLIGHTLY harder than previous tests, I put the curve at -11.
Had LR, RC, LG (exp), LR, LG
Last time LSAC stated a March 7th release date (like this test) the actual release was March 4th.

Re: Feb 2011 LSAT afterparty thread
Yeah, not sure why, but the RC ruined me. The LR were somewhat easy, glad I laxed on the exp LR - I had a feeling it would be, questions were taking longer than usual. The real LRs I had a min or two to spare. I'm upset about the last LG because for some reason, I misread a rule, however, that didn't help the fact that I was running short on time.m3taphysician wrote:Anyone else find the RC to be especially difficult?
Now comes the waiting game. Anything in the upper 150s to low 160s would be PERFECTLY ok with me.

Re: Feb 2011 LSAT afterparty thread
So I've been prowling these boards since I took the December LSAT and I'm finally taking the plunge.
I definitely thought RC was the toughest this time around. There were at least two questions (one especially) on the UNESCO passage that I thought I could have flipped a coin. Anyone else with a similar experience? I want to say more, but getting banned seems like a poor way to introduce myself to the forums. Also-

I got written up by the proctor when I started doing exactly this during the fourth section.SchopenhauerFTW wrote:Q. Reaction upon turning to the LG section after taking the test in December?

I can't remember anything about the econ/rent control passage or even its existence. What was it about?apom wrote:SMG wrote:rent control?apom wrote:This section sucked!! there was also a passage about rent control (ok) and a malaria passage. AH! environment/export I do remember.dadonno wrote:So correct me if I'm wrong but the real RC passages were: UNESCO, Malaria, Environment/Export and Language right?
Someone mentioned something about rent control and I was like "WTF? I missed a whole passage?"

Me neither. All I can remember is the sunken ship one in fact. It will haunt me for some time I think.applepiecrust wrote:

Yeah, that one was rough, it was right before my break and it really hit me hard. Everyone else got up and left the room, but I just sat there in situ.feralinfant wrote: Me neither. All I can remember is the sunken ship one in fact. It will haunt me for some time I think.

Did anybody else take the december test? If so, what'd you get then and what are you expecting out of this one?
