Currently I reside in Albany, NY. (2.5 hours or so from the city)
But it is dark as night here right now. It's not raining, but I hear thunder in the distance.

Mikey is lucky! I grew up closer to outside the city, it was nice to be able to visit more often. NYC is the GOAT!

I've lived here my whole life so to me it's eh, lmao. Although I have lived here my whole life and have thought about what moving to another place would be like, I just can't really picture myself anywhere else.Barack O'Drama wrote:TheMikey wrote:Yeah BruhSweetTort wrote:Y'all live in NYC?TheMikey wrote:I'm staying in for the night, and it's times like these that I actually like the rain!Barack O'Drama wrote:It just got so dark outside my house...Oh boy! I know I will probably end up not liking it, but yeah, I think so. I am not exactly sure what type of law I am interested in, but it seems like the best/easiest outcome from attending the schools I am interested in.

yeah the only thing I'm not sure of is the difference in exit opportunities that you'll get leaving an NYC (or another major market) biglaw firm vs a secondary market.SweetTort wrote:FedGov>DC biglaw>Secondary Southern Market Biglaw>>>>NYC Biglaw>>everything else.TheMikey wrote:I'm not dead set on NYC biglaw but I'm not completely ruling it out. Yeah, tbh if I ended up in a decent QOL firm in Atlanta, I'd be down to ride it out for as long as possible.

yeah that also doesn't sound bad tbh. you'd have much more spending power compared to DC, NYC, and Chicago folk.SweetTort wrote:proteinshake wrote:yeah the only thing I'm not sure of is the difference in exit opportunities that you'll get leaving an NYC biglaw firm vs a secondary market.SweetTort wrote:FedGov>DC biglaw>Secondary Southern Market Biglaw>>>>NYC Biglaw>>everything else.TheMikey wrote:I'm not dead set on NYC biglaw but I'm not completely ruling it out. First Kellogg's one. There was in Boston IIRC. They'd play Saturday cartoons and sold cereal milk.

I sort of wish I could just take this test tomorrow. I feel like with work starting in August, plus classes, I'm more apt to decline as to improve.

Let's not forget Baked by Melissa and Ladurée; can't get enough of their cupcakes and macarons.
So many more... NYC is the place to be (if you don't mind the shitty weather and transportation system).
