Super sick this past week, really hurting my ability to study and concentrate during drills. Well I guess its good to be sick now rather than later.

You're a K-JD, chill bro that isn't a bad thing but a break from academia can be good (even if it was taking academia for granted *ahem me) I guarantee in september or june whichever you decide you'll break 175.

Me on the other hand, this is the last ticket back into academia. I really don't want to be working this job longer than I have to, whichever school I go to I will remember how I felt now and over the past few months to remind myself that this is the alternative.
you're right. i need to stop thinking that 1 year is going to be a long time. i guess the fear originated from some people that i know saying "aww yeah, you should go straight through because if you take time off, you're not going to want to go back". but i don't think this kind of mindset will impact me because i know how hard I've studied so far for this test, and i know i'm dead set on going to LS.

Do you guys think I should take PT C or PT 79 today? Should I save 79 or take it now to see if there are any areas I need to focus more on next week?

Did anyone find that PT 64 was unusually easy? I did it yesterday and outdid my best score by about 5 points and my average by about 10 points. I'd like to think I'm getting better at the test, but I'm skeptical.

PT22 S2 Q25 made me feel like a moron. I still some what don't even get it, but can slightly see why the answer is what it is, but at the same time this doesn't make any sense to me. ok.

I'd try to see what you did differently. The LSAT is a strongly standardized test, so it's extremely unlikely that it's just a matter of it playing to your relative strengths. It was probably a mix of...
  • you getting better at the test
  • the test being somewhat easier for you
  • you being more on your game.

Took PT 59 early this morning. I'm all out of recent PTs so have to just do ones in the 50s, so that's making me a littler nervous close to test day but don't think it'll be a big deal.

176
-1 LG
-1 LR
-2 LR
-2 RC

Mauve dinosaurs was pretty easy for me, but I had another stupid mistake on LG and it was the third time in a row I went -1 on games. Have to stop giving up that point, but 176 is 4 above my average, so overall very happy with the performance!

I would do C today and 79... Saturday?
I'm between 72 and 79 for tomorrow so I might end up being a hypocrite
Haha perfect! That's what I'll do. Just need someone else to tell me, I'm getting too in my head!

Pretty bummed out about the crummy LG performance, I almost never get a question wrong on that section but missed 3 this time. My mind just went totally blank during that section. I was a sluggish on making making inferences and remember rules or questions. Also was not sharp on the 5th section I added. On the plus side, I did well on LR.

The main reason this test is not in the mid 170's in burnout. I think I need to take a day or two off sooner vs later.
I think a lot of us in this thread are on the verge of or going through a burn out. We are either all september takers or started so long ago at this point. The day will come, sooner rather than later just try and enjoy the ride i guess.
FWIW I'd rather be burned out and averaging mid 170s than relaxed and not doing as well. Sure, watch out for your health. But you're in a position to do very well and consistency will keep you sharp, even if it's just a little bit of study some days.
I suppose you're right, I think at this point for all of us it's about maintenance. That way if we focus on the process we solidify our PT scores as our probable actual scores as well as perhaps catching some sort of new clue in LR or RC that we've been overlooking.

Got home from the library last night at 7pm and felt the overwhelming urge just to go to bed. I agree with all that's being said here. If anything I am just trying to pick up a point or two in LR and RC while maintaining consistent performances. I think at this point we have scored high enough on a number of tests that it is more about making sure we replicate our best performances rather than making large gains. As suggested, I likely wont take the entire day off, but rather keep things light. An hour or two here and there for the next few days.

I will probably go out with a buddy to casino to play some cards and watch football. At this point more than ever, I think that is key to be in a good frame of mind. Do things that you enjoy over the next few weeks without getting side tracked, that way you approach each PT's and studying session fresh, positive, and with confidence.

Been following a few of your posts SunDevil, and I think we are suffering from the same plight. I've also recently experienced a dip in RC from -0/-1 back down to -2/-4 (even though I thought I had this ish down!). I'm attributing it to some trickier passages/questions in the 70s...sigh. Do not want to retake in June, y'all. For the THIRD TIME.
Hang in there. Confidence is key.

Yeah I'm gonna agree that RC performance is directly correlated to confidence levels- more so than any other section imo. If you hesitate on answers it can cost you a LOT of time.

All I've done since graduation is work in a gym and study for this test, I'm not sure I know what fun is anymore. God win, lose, or draw after this test things are going to be nice for at least 2 months.
Chase women, that's always a good default in the absence of hobbies. I empathize with you, since studying for this test my social life has taken a plunge. I probably spend more time on this forum chatting with you guys than I have with many of my friends in past few months.

Damn never gotten to this point, my previous best was 175 too. I guess that goes to show the top level is partially due to luck.
