Can I ask what your GPA is? I'm a potential splitter too. My GPA is just over 3.0 so I'm really relying on the lsat and my work experience to get me t20.smccgrey wrote:Lol I think that's the point - you might not need it, but they make it soooo easy.Learn_Live_Hope wrote:It doesn't seem like you need any help. What a business model that preys on neurotic, millenial 0Ls.
It was so easy for me to just panic about Parallel reasoning on Sunday and buy their packets online right away and print them out. All for less than $10, in less than 10 minutes.
Although, to their credit, as business models go, it's kind of brilliant.
In all seriousness though, I tend to look at parallel reasoning and roll my eyes and go with gut instinct, and that's a terrible strategy.
For me though, I have basically nothing going for me except a potentially high LSAT score, so I might as well buy drilling material.

Yep my story is pretty much exactly the same, if I could do it all over again I'd definitely do things differently. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my idiot freshman self and the provincial drinking age of 18 for a lovely first two years.
There is a strong upward trend, not that anyone in admissions will actually GAF.
I wish I could reach back in time 6 years and slap myself right in the face.

Splitter with burdening sense of stoic regret checking it.

NU is in the #2 spot because the culture would probably be a good fit, and again they are very splitter-with-work-experience friendly.
Won't go to LS next year if I don't make it to either of those two, I think. Though with a really strong LSAT, I'll have a decent shot at both. Hence the studying! (and the constant TLS lurking)

All you need is at least 170.

I know you can get it.

With my newfound discovery, and adoration, for Sherlock, I sincerely hope you get into your #1 school and receive the LSAT score you've been testing at or higher simply based on your avatarsmccgrey wrote:Thanks LLH!Learn_Live_Hope wrote:smccgrey wrote:Georgetown, by far, for a number of reasons, not least of which is the likelihood that they'll actually accept me.valen wrote: Yep my story is pretty much exactly the same, if I could do it all over again I'd definitely do things differently. PT 55:
LR (-2)
RC (-4)
LR (-1)
LG (-2)
Scaled (-9) : 170
I'm pretty happy with this score (tied for my highest PT score) after a 164 and 165. I took two weeks off from PTs to focus on drilling, and it looks like it paid off for me. Both LR sections felt really good, and I think my drilling for strengthen/weaken and flaw questions really paid off. RC felt really difficult, but I somehow pulled off -4; I suppose I got a little lucky. LG was very easy until the last game (bus stops), where I picked up both my wrong answers. I think I was starting to figure the game out right before I ran out of time though. From here, I think i'll continue drilling LG and RC, but unsure what to do about LR. What's the general advice for LR when you're missing 1-3 per section, with no real pattern for missed questions?

I think that one of the best feelings that one can get from the LSAT is definitely when you get an amazing inference in the beginning of a game that helps you solve all the questions in under five minutes
...okay i guess getting a -0 on RC too..(seriously can't wait for this one)

guysguysguysguysguys!!!!!
Just took Test C from Superprep and got a 172! This is one of the best feelings I've had in a long, long time, especially since my last PT was a 163. There were absolutely a few lucky (but educated) guesses in there, and I'm sure this is the upper end of my potential right now, but it's still great to know all of my work is paying off. I've really been getting discouraged
I got 1 to 3 wrong on the LRs and RC, but went an astounding -6 on LG
. Those games just seemed weird to me. Maybe it's because the test is newer and I haven't exposed myself to any games past test 45. I don't know.
Anyway, this is just such a great confidence booster for me. I know I'm not an unintelligent person and I do very well in school, so it's been incredibly frustrating up until now to not see any progress. eeeeee
And I apologize for the rant, but none of my friends understand/care about this and I want to share my excitement with someone

That was weird, I edited my post to ask if you were shooting for above a 175, and after I posted the edit, you commented about how you are really hoping for above a 175.
Something freaky's going on LLH.

I've been focusing on my RC this time around, and my Flaw-Weaken questions…
I re-drilled Flaw, and Weaken packets.
My RC needed work. I was -2 per passage all the time with -1 on my good days. I've been trying to focus on what works for me. I'm still trying to figure that out. Ill be retaking prep tests 51-73 so I will asses as I go.
I have one more Cambridge package left-the science one!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
