Took a quick look. I imagine that explaining inferences like that would be very useful for someone who has a lot of trouble understanding how to solve even the most basic of games. I'm assuming some of the inferences you had identified were tougher to spot than those? If so, I'd definitely be interested in seeing more.34iplaw wrote:.

Looks fairly standard?
They got hit my YP a bit hard there. Late app/not showing interest would explain I think.

Seems like 3 is the best compromise? I wouldn't worry about 1 vs. 2 semesters of a language course. You won't learn enough in that amount of time for it to be useful anyways.Alexandros wrote:

@abu
Awesome! definitely reach out if there's any improvements or comments you have.
It's almost entirely barren right now, but it will save you some time from digging through the ManhattanPrep and PowerScore forums. There's a slight chance one or two may be missing, but I doubt it. My coding skills are pretty toight.
@oops
There were. I have to get back into the swing of doing games to really think of them on an abstract level and when they recur. Most recurring inferences are fairly basic. I think it can help to see them as why they are important. Perhaps, I can spend more time on certain ones as to why they are important. One the comes to mind are variables that can't be together in games with two groups. The reason that's important is because it basically shrinks the board. On the actual games I did (and it'll be better in the future as those were typed after I did the game) I try to point out some of the more interesting ones like interchangeable variables. That one is hard to show one definitive example for though, as it can take many shapes and forms.
oh wow, so many typos, please don't quote and digital permanence by tired mind
haha

Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
I think you should complete the minors, as someone who hates minors.
LOOKING AT YOU UG, WHERE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET A BFA IN CRP IN ADDITION TO MY BS IN WHATEVER THE HELL IT'S CALLED IF I TOOK ANOTHER CLASS (I DIDNT BECAUSE I WOULDN'T BE ELIGIBLE BECAUSE I WASN'T IN ARTS AND SCIENCES)
BS with concentration and two minors; the results of a carefully planned 160 credit hours : cry :

That's kinda what I was thinking, and I'm glad you agree.oopsu812 wrote:Seems like 3 is the best compromise? I wouldn't worry about 1 vs. 2 semesters of a language course. You won't learn enough in that amount of time for it to be useful anyways.Alexandros wrote:

My only reservation is making sure the credits count if I drop out after the first semester through, since I'm on the wire in terms of enough credits to graduate. It'll be a dead language so kind of useless regardless.

Go for it! Make sure the credits count, then pull the trigger. Carpe diem.Alexandros wrote:.oopsu812 wrote:Seems like 3 is the best compromise? I wouldn't worry about 1 vs. 2 semesters of a language course. You won't learn enough in that amount of time for it to be useful anyways.Alexandros wrote:

Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
Oh, I missed the part about the classic minors. Well, I was mainly just communicating to not let another resume line (yeah it's not a huge deal but whatever) get away over one class.Alexandros wrote:.
Maybe see if there's any other way you can finagle the two minors while taking the seminar you want to?
If you realistically have to choose, just go with whatever classes you will enjoy the most, get you a strong LOR, and, hopefully, at least one minor.

Also 34, I know I said I would send you explanations and I will still do that if you think it would be at all useful. Sorry about dropping the ball on that - They're pretty rough right now so I want to see if I can make them half decent before forwarding them to you.

@Alex, hah sorry. Well, that sort of tells you what to do then I think... go for the Poli Sci major and maximize everything else you want with that in mind. Haha - no worries, and no rush. Do what you can but I can always finagle with them. I have been shoehorning some of the torts into it, and it doesn't take a tremendous amount of time. I've just had a lot on my plate outside of the site so I've been focusing on that stuff.
On that note though, I need to go chase the z-dragon.

Alex, just pad those stats with racketball and billiards classes. We both went to the same California state school in the bay area, didn't we?
PS - I racked up a BS with a major and 2 minors and a certificate which is basically a major's worth of classes. Still finished with only 120 credits when I got my degree

Haha yeah, that will basically be me minus the double minor (but equivalent amount of credits for a double minor). Took essentially no electives though.chargers21 wrote:Alex, just pad those stats with racketball and billiards classes. We both went to the same California state school in the bay area, didn't we?

And yes, I think we did.

Also they just changed the poli sci minor requirements to be much less stringent YEEEE
