Re: December 2013 LSAT Study Group
I got the flu and was out for THREE DAYS! I almost died of anxiety but I think it worked out because it forced me to take a break. I'm resuming tonight (reviewing PT 64) and will be taking PT 65 tomorrow in case anyone wants to review together.

Please take 68, 69 and 70. In fact, I suggest just doing those and extensively reviewing them to get the most out of them in the next 11 days.wealtheow wrote:i have 66 67 68 69 and 70. and i don't want to take any of them! i want to work on my goddamn applications.

Re: December 2013 LSAT Study Group
I have 63, 66, 67, 68, and 70 for between now and then. But I heard some people don't score the tests or other materials that close to test day. Agree/disagree? Personally I'd like to score and review up until the day before...
EDIT: ALSO, I feel as if I should know this by know, but what exactly is the form factor of the exam on test day? Is it like one of the individual PT books (eg PT 67)? Is there a thread on this somewhere?

Look and review. Maybe your review of those 5 PTs will earn you a point or two on the real LSAT. You'll never know.raindrop wrote:I have 63, 66, 67, 68, and 70 for between now and then. PT 64 G3 (bikes)- 7Sage video used 2 hypos but it seemed like he had to do a lot of work each question. I used 4 and was able to breeze through the questions but the problem was the time that it took me to do the 4 hypos. Did anyone use 4 hypos for this game and did it in less than 11-12 minutes?

I'm just all over the place right now in my scoring on sections. I don't know why I'm seeing such discrepancies so late in the game all of a sudden.....

Re: December 2013 LSAT Study Group
Yup, those were the 4 I used the first 3 times I did this game. I just did it for a fourth time and brute forced through it with only the 2 f/g hypos for y1-s2. It saved me 3.5 minutesbee wrote:ive done this game 3ish times (the latest time was today) and found that the absolute fastest way to do it is to bruteforce a la velocity. so you do the local questions first, then use that work to answer the global questions. i finished it in 7 mins. the first couple of times i did it, i tried to use hypos, but honestly... it was slow going.dasani13 wrote:PT 64 G3 (bikes)- 7Sage video used 2 hypos but it seemed like he had to do a lot of work each question. eta: just did the 4 hypos im assuming you used (f/g options for y1/s2, then split further by h in t) and theyre pretty inconclusive. give brute forcing it a try and see if that helps you finish it any quicker.

Did 67 LG again and Zones really isn't that bad. The rules and diagram are actually straightforward. It's just #21 that I never understand. Seriously not sure what it means and I've watched the 7sage video in the past.

Took the LSAT when that game was on it and got every question wrong. Reviewed it after the LSAT, still didn't understand it. A year later I just did it yesterday, finished it all correct in 6 mins.Otunga wrote:Did 67 LG again and Zones really isn't that bad. The rules and diagram are actually straightforward. For #21, I drew out a table with Z1,2, and 3 vertically, and choices a,b,c,d, and e horizontally across the top and filled in the choices that were indicated. Remember within Z1,2,3, you can only spread out exactly 3r, 3i, & 3h (according to the question). Using the rules, C becomes the only one that works.
It takes less time than it sounds btw.

Lighter day today. DId some drilling and 2 timed sections, 1 LG and 1 LR (35 and 54 respectively).
Got sloppy on games and went -3 unfortunately, and then went -3 on LR. It was nice to chart the change in the LR section, as I had scored -8 in that section a few months ago. Getting a grip on my LSAT abilites again after a few rough days. Taking PT 69 tomorrow morning.

That's my worst nightmare. I think I'm just going to avoid direct human contact as much as possible over the next few days....

Taking PT 69 in an hour. Then sitting down for a turkey. Eating said turkey. Showing no remorse. No words now, only tears. And then reviewing PT 69.
Edit: Just finished PT 69. It wen't alright but I got tripped up on RC so that was no bueno.
LG (ex.) - 3 (from PT 31. A lot of trouble with the 2nd game. This was probably a morning thing).
LR #1 - 2
LG - 0
RC - 8 (oopf)
LR#2 - 3
Raw -87, 169.
Like i said, RC was a mess. I went -2,-3,-3,-0 on the sections. Not much I can do with a week out, just maybe keep working on RC efficiency. Oye. PT 70 on Saturday.

Just finished a blind review...
PT 66
LR1 -0 (-1)
LR2 -1 (-1)
RC -2 (-4)
LG -0 (-2)
178 (172)
My "true" score doesn't reflect it, but this one actually felt like a breeze, sans the RC. Especially the games. I LOVED these games, and actually the two errors I made were really incredibly dumb misreads. i finished games with eight mins to spare, so i guess i should have used my time more wisely.
I'm really, really frustrated with the recent RCs.
feeling like there's not much i can do about it now, though...
