Is anyone else seriously struggling to write their personal statement? I feel like I cannot even think of a good topic, let alone write something quality.

yeah the girl next to me was wearing one and when I noticed I couldn't stop thinking about the comment, I was dying from laughter underneath the whole dying from LSAT thing.

im also in begin-to-write-PS mode...and have yet to begin. this aint easy. how unique could we possibly be? what could we write that hasn't been written before?

nothing...

I wrote about my background/childhood, but as shown by the PW's last night, its kinda unique.

this guy wasnt from nova cause he was talking about how "this building" (bartley) was so much nicer than june's building (tolentine)

I'm not using my "Why I want to be a lawyer" story, because I feel it's super cliched. Well, maybe not cliched. It just seems so...sappy, I guess. In the most vague terms possible: I'm writing about an experience that allowed me to see that I possessed a strength I had not been utilizing. So I started utilizing it and will do so in lalw school, too.

(Spoiler: That strength is being a bamf. nbd).

ETA: This experience is very, very unique and I guarantee that if adcoms have ever heard it, it's been maybe .005% of the essays they've read. I guess I've got that going for me.

Yes. Absolutely. Just talk about what you learned and if you realized anything about yourself or what you want out of life. Talk about any rough adjustment and how you handled it, language, culture, etc.

I'm trying to decide what to write about without sounding like a total douche.. I feel like my ego pours through each word when I write about myself.. but then again.. I guess that's what being awesome is all about.. SMH!
