Replying to everything:
A) I chose cake, but it truly depends on the cake and pie. After all, a basic yellow cake with frosting will be beaten by pecan derby pie anytime. But generally its cake.
B) I don't like legal shows, but I love political dramas (House of Cards; West Wing.) I want to watch The Wire but I can't find it to stream anywhere.
C) I am thinking entertainment law, or some kind of appellate law. Honestly I really think I'd prefer civil over criminal law, but then again there's so many fields of law that I haven't been exposed I'm happy to just wait until law school to decide.

So, has anyone here taken the GRE? Was there a big difference between your percentile for it and your LSAT percentile?

Never taken the GRE and I'm still certain the LSAT is nothing like it...TheBookerSmith wrote:So, has anyone here taken the GRE? Was there a big difference between your percentile for it and your LSAT percentile?

Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
I've taken both the GRE and GMAT in addition to the LSAT and the LSAT is definitely it's own breed of animal. I took the GRE hungover with zero prep whatsoever and got scores in the 94th and 98th percentiles for quant & verbal respectively. On the other hand I spent over 200 hours prepping for the LSAT and my first score barely cracked the 90th percentile and I will be thrilled if my February score comes back 168+. So for me, yeah, there was a considerable difference in what I had to do to get relatively similar outcomes.TheBookerSmith wrote:So, has anyone here taken the GRE? This was exactly my experience with the GRE and LSAT. I took the test with a month of light studying and a high fever on the day of and scored awesomely well, while I studied for 4 months total for the LSAT and would be joyous to crack 168 as well.Shib26 wrote:I've taken both the GRE and GMAT in addition to the LSAT and the LSAT is definitely it's own breed of animal. The only section that is comparable is the verbal section with RC, and GRE is definitely easier.
Are you thinking of taking it?

I used to be so optimistic about my score, but this waiting process has completely annihialated my optimism. Buck you LSAC.
