Great decision! With as well as you are already PT'ing, it makes sense for you to go all out over these next 3 months and then just be done with it.

OK, after how pumped my last few posts were, I feel like an idiot with this post.

I need the collective help of TLS. When I PT'ed in December, I went 170 one night, then took one the next afternoon and went 162. Last night I took a PT, went 175, took one this afternoon and went 165.

Does this show that I don't have mastery of the basic concepts, or just that taking these tests close together creates burnout?

I'm a bit worried the 170+ scores were flukes.

Did you BR afterwards? If so, what was your BR score?

You gotta start BRing! I don't think it's burnout yet since you just started PTing again. Then again, you have been drilling pretty hard so it's def a possibility. The next time you PT, don't score it until you finish BRing everything. Analyzing both of those scores will tell you what concepts you need to work on, or if it's just you needing to get comfortable with taking timed PTs

Obviously I am late to the game. Just decided to take it in June, but I am taking it in Asia so it's towards the end of June. I really have to study hard now!!!

So I BR, but I do wonder in what way am I supposed to think about my BR score? Just a "well I'm clearly currently capable of this score, but timing is affecting it?"

So should I be worried about my PT drop? Or just take more time in between PT's?

You may have been overconfident... I think there's a lot more to the LSAT than reading and reasoning skills; attitude is one of those extra aspects that people don't generally think about and can sink you if you're overconfident and go too fast, put too much stock in your intuition, etc. The 99th percentile score shows that you have the skills to do well, but now you need to work on consistency so you can be sure that those skills will shine through on test day.

Right now I'm scared to do another PT because my last ones were 174 and 176 and I feel like I could very well drop back into the 160s as well.

tl;dr I wouldn't really worry about it, but you still have some work to do.

So I'm printing out Superprep A & B now, but prob won't have them done for Sunday. Traveling this week/again tomorrow. Will be back early next week and take B then. (will take A on the plane, I think)

1) BR every test. That's when you reinforce improving your weaknesses.

2) Take a look at the questions you miss. Are there trends in the types of questions you miss?

3) Don't stop drilling. I'm not sure there is much use in taking PTs back to back days. Drill and shore up your weaknesses.

4) It's only February. You are getting rockstar scores already and have plenty of time to get those consistently if you don't get overconfident. Remember, there is really only one test score that matters; every one before June 8th is just gauging potential.

Re-taking in June. Freaking out a bit.

Was PTing around 170 before messing up Feb. Trying to get back into studying but don't know where to start. Any advice from people who had to retake? Do you just review everything you did? Buy new test prep books? I pretty much took all the PTS already.

I'm going through the Trainer since I didn't before taking in September. Other than that, drill heavily. You pretty much know your weaknesses at this point, so drill those. Especially RC, since you said in the other thread it was your biggest variable.

Checking in, third try here. My LR and LG skills dramatically improved my second try but I fucked up on my strongest section, RC.

My goal is a 164.

Things I'm doing differently.

Waking up early 2 months before the test to get used to hour -- I was half asleep during the test because I'm not used to waking up in the morning.

Practicing all sections, including RC. I made the mistake of not practicing all sections because I believed I was solid on the RC front.

Right now though I gotta be honest, I'm at a wall when it comes to LR. Though there are times when i'm going 20+ on each section, my average seems to be 18 on each LR. Anyone have other recs besides powerscore (I used powerscore to get to where I'm at right now which has worked, I just need to do better.)

FYI the June exam starts at 12:30, so no need to wake up early if you don't want to!
