When you say drilling to you mean the cambridge packets? And when you take the PT is it one from 39-70? Sorry I am just trying to catch on and develop a better study process
I wouldn't use my studying as a model, but when I say packet I mean 4 RC/LG sections from Cambridge, usually at mixed difficulties. And yeah, 39-70.

I am half way through the trainer and really want to PT as well. But my studying has been put on hold for a con law midterm on friday. I guess I will be doing the super prep test A to compare results with everyone on sunday

The idea was, for anyone who wanted to participate, to take both Superprep A and Superprep B by Sunday, and then discuss them next week.

I have not BR'd yet. I am so angry at myself. I basically froze on games and somehow managed to lose all understanding of anything. I didn't get to the last game again, did not finish any section in SPC except Section 2 (LR 1). Maybe the questions I got to are more accurate, but I don't know. Definitely a huge sense of disappointment and frustration today.

Holy shit, guys. So, today I decided to taking a PT for the first time since late December. I've been drilling in the interim.

Here are my results.

PT 42:
LG: -1
LR: -1
RC: -4
LR: -0
Raw: 95

Scaled: 175

Holy shit I can't breathe. I never thought this was in my fucking realm of possibility.

I'm wondering if I should bump up my test date to June. Sure, I'd have to miss a day of class and take it in London, but it would be locked up and done with.

Why do you think you're getting those wrong? Have you tried writing out the conditional logic?

Whipped up a quick spreadsheet just to keep track of studying times/hours to form a habit and embed it in my daily routine. I find that it helps me budget my time to get a feel for how many hours I can devote to a particular area. Looking ahead while leaving room for flexibility makes more sense to me than adhering to a rigid schedule.

As a side note, I moved through chapter five of the LGB pretty quickly (a lot of conditional logic rehashing) and -0'd the first two games. I find that watching the 7Sage explanation and redoing each game once or twice under fully timed conditions with 100% understanding of each question helps tremendously, regardless of whether I missed any on my first try. I'm getting -0 on untimed games fairly consistently (and can go back and do the old ones from back in January in four or five minutes), so I will look to begin doing timed drills with the Cambridge packets in the near future.

In the meantime, I anticipate getting down to some LR work in the next few weeks.

Okay, I've gathered myself and finished BRing the entire test again except RC, which I just BRed questions I circled.

Diag (SPTA): 151 BR: N/A
2nd Test (SPTB): 156 BR: 161

SPT C

Initial:
163

Section 1 (LG): -8 (did not get to last game)
Section 2 (LR1): -3 (finished barely)
Section 3 (LR2): -5 (did not get to last 3 questions)
Section 4: (RC): -9 (did not do last 4) - also this is wildly different than my previous two -1, not sure how much stock to put into it

BR:
169

Section 1 (LG): -4
Section 2 (LR1): -2
Section 3 (LR2): -3
Section 4 (RC): -6 (oof).

I'm going to try to do PTs A and B this week. It's been crazy with last-minute apps for summer research programs and mass-mailing for summer internships, but I'm going to try.

I have this issue where I'm reluctant to take a PT if I don't think I'm going to top my last score, and I need to get over that. The point is to learn, not to brag about high scores. Fear of failure guarantees it.

ETA: sloth dude: I remember reading that Superprep B or C had really brutal LG.

My last two PT's were 170 and 162, so lots of variance.

I'm just worried about being out of my comfort zone and declining on test day. But that's probably lower than the risk of burnout.

I don't remember too much about B's games, but on 2 of the 3 I got to on C, I put the game board down and was just like "uhhh, wtf is next?" and ended up frantically brute forcing most of the questions.

I didn't even start drilling with Cambridge until after my 2nd PT, so I feel like this is the first real LG look I've had with practice.

I'm curious does anyone have anything interesting keeping them motivated?

For instance. I have a "do not shave beard until 170 on initial take of a PT" challenge with myself.

I wish I did. Occasionally I'll think about how shitty the economy is and how I have a very real chance of failing at life and I work myself into a panic that drives me to study manically for a week or two, but then I stop. That and my fear of being outdone by other people are the only things that motivate me with the LSAT. It's all about fear of punishment with no intrinsic motivation, and that is definitely not optimal.

I'm glad your hard work paid off. It definitely motivates me.

I'm stuck in the 163-165 range on average (I have few high outliers) , but my BR scores have been around 172-174. I'm hoping the heavy drilling that I've started fixes the issues that I'm having.

I been going through the 7sage course and feel like LR could be better. Does anyone have experience with velocity LR? Perhaps also how it compares to 7sage LR?

For such an important test, I remain constantly paranoid of not scoring high enough. I don't recommend it, but my paranoia of failure is pretty much how I got through college. Growing a beard sounds less stressful!
