Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
anyone else find it hard to take PTs in the evening? I started one at 6:30 PM, I knew my brain just wasn't there so I ended it halfway.

Am I the only who finds it almost impossible to study with PMS? I have severe brain fog and simply cannot focus. I have a couple more days of this and it's costing me precious study days. Anyone have any suggestions for working through it?
I would actually have pms on the week of the lsat so i am extending my birth control pills to be safe
As for now, id just take a big rest and maybe do a review of the Qs you got wrong, or just taking it slow

Yep. I've got a double-whammy of PMS and a sinus infection, so I'm just drilling and going through the Bibles. I can't tilt my head down to look at the book without the whole left side of my head feeling like death. Not the best feeling three weeks from the big day.december1205 wrote:Phoenix97 wrote:Ladies:

I had it during the October LSAT... Carry my tampons in a clear plastic bag? AwesomePhoenix97 wrote:Having PMS during the LSAT is honestly one of my top LSAT fears. Glad you were smart enough to get ahead of it.december1205 wrote:Phoenix97 wrote:Ladies:

I tried pushing through yesterday with little success...I even cleaned and organized for about four years straight yesterday hoping it would clear my mind...no luck. Today it was just impossible.

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
My RC practice seems to be paying off, still a little work to do. For PT73 (I'm going to jump back a little into the 60s next and save subsequent 70s for closer to test day):
-2 RC (want to get timing a little better, had less than a minute to spare)
-0 LR 1
-1 LG (one blind guess when I ran out of time at the end because I took too long on one game
-I have been neglecting LG to work on RC and a little LR and I need to go back and work on LG timing)
-4 LR 2
(at this point I was checked out and saw that I had to leave to catch a train home and meet up with my s/o at the station so I rushed through it and had about 7 minutes left in which I could have gone back and reviewed, everything I missed I marked for return and got lazy/rushed, need to be more disciplined about it next time, or better at picking the correct answer when I narrow it down to two, which always seems to be the case when I miss an LR question)
Does anybody else run into the issue of narrowing an LR question down to two and picking the wrong one frequently? Has anything in particular worked to overcome it?

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
I was literally about to post that I could not for the life of me get a good study groove today. I didn't think it could have anything to do with my period, but damn, maybe it does, because I just started today. All I got done was some practice conditional LR questions and like a chapter of my RC Manhattan prep book. Ugh. Tomorrow must be very productive. We can get through it!Phoenix97 wrote:Ladies:

Hey Everyone, Im hoping someone out there can help me or is in a similar situation. IM IN DESPERATE NEED OF A STUDY BUDDY TO GET THROUGH THESE LAST 3 WEEKS. I know it goes against everything recommended but im taking a practice test everyday and want someone who would want to skype/text and keep each other focused. I have bad ADHD so im having trouble sitting for a full test. I fortunately have no other obligations so my schedule to prep is wide open. contact me asap if you just want someone to work with and rely on!

Going to St. Petersburg next week. How do you guys study if you are away from home? Should I just do some drills in the morning or a couple timed sections?

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
7sage analytics tracks your answers and gives you a nice graph + stats on what kind of questions you get the wrong the most, question difficulty ,etc. I think that option is available even if you don't pay for anything.tvu wrote:Same here!
My scores started falling again, as I'm moving through PT 60s, my LR is killing me. Anybody have a way to track the question types you get wrong? And if I can do that, should I just start drilling those types?
also i am not sure how many PTs you have left but i'd suggest hitting the 70s already, i felt the questions were a bit different so its best to get acclimated earlier rather than later.

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
I took the my first full PT after October 5th. My stamina is at an all time low, I couldn't concentrate at all!
I took PT 51, scored 156. I am not happy with the score but definitely not depressed either considering how little focus I had during the exam. Aiming to get as close to mid-160s as I can. Going to start taking 3 PTs a week. (maybe repeat 1 old and 2 new)

That's what I was thinking, my RC is atrocious so I figured I would do one or two of those a day, with one LR and a couple games.tvu wrote:I would do a couple of timed sections, unless you have a specific question/section that you are really struggling with. It'll probably nice too that you are taking an exam in a different environment.kylemolodets wrote:Going to St. Petersburg next week. How do you guys study if you are away from home? Can anyone help me understand the difference between C and E on PT 65 section 4 #26?
Is it because "almost certainly" is "more likely" rather than a prediction like C says?

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
So I managed to take PT 67 after work yesterday. I improved on LR a bit. I found the last LG to be a bit of an "anomaly"
With RC..... LOLOLOL I thought i'd def do well bc yknow, I felt pretty confident. Reading for structre, stopping after Ps to rephrase, be on time, etc etc etc all that stuff.
.
.
.
Got -10 on RC, my all time low. I came to accept that whenever I feel like I aced a particular section, LSAT test makers are laughing at me saying "uh huh, right. Nice one."
I got -4 on my experimetal RC from Pt 51 and I hope to stay that way. Will do two timed RC section after work. TGIF!
