Goat just doesn't have enough flavor. If you ever get a chance to try ostrich, its pretty good. Duck/Dove/Quail are amazing birds though. Dove poppers are God's gift to mankind.sfoglia wrote:I don't really like lamb. Has anyone here ever had goat? UGHHHH I tried a bite and NO NEVER AGAIN.peppermint wrote:Nah, lamb is where it's all at, y'all. Roast lamb w/ sage browned butter sauce is delicious
ETA: do they have high dove populations in MA by any chance? If not, I may be flying back to Texas every September.

Tried this. Turns out farms cost more money than I can get an approved loan for. Not sure why. I have good credit.PeanutsNJam wrote:How about you just buy a farm and cut out the middle man

I don't know about Elk, but seriously, Bison are the best. My new fake farm is now going to be a bison farm. The Abyss wrote:Elk andBison are the best.

Elk is delicious. I always buy elk burgers and steaks from a farmer in colorado when I visit.CambrianExplosives wrote:I don't know about Elk, but seriously, Bison are the best. My new fake farm is now going to be a bison farm. The Abyss wrote:Elk andBison are the best.

I would say we should try not to, but I can't for the life of me think of a reason for that. I've gotten more good ideas for cooking in the last two days than I have in a long time.RaiderRed wrote: ETA: We may actually be the foodie thread. Everyday we somehow end back up on food.

Proud of you. You should start a blog of your trials and end it with a Katy Perry themed montage of Rigo gettin weird on the Big Island.Dirigo wrote:Signed up for a new gym today. Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
I really love my parents. I'm close to them. But despite that fact, there's just some shit I don't ever want to know about my mom and dad. Like, this one time I got in a fight with my dad, and it got pretty heated. After, I vented to my mom.
"Mom," I said, "Dad can be such a prick sometimes."
"Boo," she replied, "Your dad loves you. He's a good man. He's a gentle man. And he's a gentle lover."
I cringed at that last line. It made me really uncomfortable. I was shocked that my mom would tell me that my dad is a gentle lover, because that has NOT been my experience.

At delis? No. Because that meat is served in thin slices. Do I prefer my steaks cooked well so that I don't have to look at bloody red stuff? Yes.bjsesq wrote:.... it's packaged in the same way any other meat is packed. I don't eat meat at home. I'll order it out maybe once a week or so, but I don't buy meat to cook at home. I just don't like handling raw meat.

NOPE. Opened a quail as a child once to find the heart still in there like perfectly sitting in its chest cavity. I couldn't stop crying.RaiderRed wrote:Goat just doesn't have enough flavor.
