Alright let's do it. Hopefully a bunch of other people will join as well, and it will help keep us on track. The Abyss wrote:This works for me. They are "due" next Sunday, and discussion of any specific questions should be left until after that date (no spoilers!). After those we will work our way up from PT 40 (I think Cambridge packets cover all PTs older than that). Participants don't have to post their scores or anything if they don't want to, but it would be helpful if they at least noted that they were participating to pull other people along by making them feel guilty if they don't follow through.

170/174 BR, so I'm pretty happy. Finally managed to get off my 168 plateau (scored 3 of them in a row the last few times I PT'd in late Jan)The Abyss wrote:How'd the PT end up going? I certainly won't be hitting the 170 mark tomorrow, but I hope to in the future.

Good luck tomorrow! Keep working hard & that 170 will happen sometime soon. The Abyss wrote:Well done! Breaking plateaus is always encouraging.peppermint wrote:170/174 BR, so I'm pretty happy. Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Only managed 3 hours towards the LSAT today (100 Pages of Manhattan LR). Had to devote 3 hours to regular university work
. Aiming for 4 hours towards each tomorrow.
I took a quick glance at June 07's LR section again. I seem to have no trouble at all figuring out question types and I have a noticeably different way of looking at the questions. Whether this translates into a higher score I do not know.

First time I got a question wrong because I didn't notice one of the answer choices
Read:
A
B
C
E
Apparently my eyes didn't even notice D existed.
Movin' on up.

It's the implementation of methods, rather than the methods themselves, that make high scorers.
ahhhhhh, thanks for this~~~~~I've been reading LGB, Trainer for like half a year and never put my hand on the actual test....maybe I should get started on drilling as well?.....along with cambridge packets?

Yes. The cambridge packets are great for developing the muscle memory of each type of question.Webpolice wrote:BP Ben wrote:Just a note: Make sure you're drilling pretty heavily to supplement and solidify the methods you're learning in the bookwork. This would be my 3rd try at the LSAT, got a 169 in December. Hoping to score in the mid 170s this time and apply as early as possible.

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
I was thinking about pushing back to October but as long as my practice average is 170+ I'm going to do June and just retake if I don't meet my goal. Best case scenario is I do well and can forget about the LSAT, worst case is I retake like everyone else seems to do.

So, after taking a week off from any logic games, I just sat down and went -0 on a packet.
Super pumped. Think I'm ready to take a full PT again...

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Anyone know if Manhattan's LR book utilizes a typical distribution of easy/medium/difficult questions in their drilling sections?
I don't want to make inaccurate assumptions about my abilities on a given question type if the book tends to use easier examples.

When you guys refer to packet work, are the set of games u got -0 new games or ones you have seen in the past?SweetTort wrote:So, after taking a week off from any logic games, I just sat down and went -0 on a packet.

Also, I think I made the mistake of getting the LRB powerscore rather than Manhattan. Anyone have experience with LRB and is it beneficial? thanks

I haven't touched LG in like 2 weeks so this makes me happy. Earlier today I was wondering if my laziness had taken me back to square one.SweetTort wrote:So, after taking a week off from any logic games, I just sat down and went -0 on a packet.

Took Superprep A today and I'm disappointed in my performance, but I know what I need to work on this week. I think I'll be drilling ~ 50 LR questions, 7-10 games, and 3-4 passages everyday this week. This next Saturday I'll take Superprep B.
