took last week off from PTs, but now proceeding to 3x a week with 5 sections (LG as 5th 'cause that's my main concern right now). I'm taking 62 tomorrow, 63 on Sat, and 65 on Sunday - if anyone wants to review any of those, let me know :)

and just curious - when is everyone planning on taking 70? i know several of the oct retakers took it a couple days ago. i was hoping to take it a little closer to the real deal, perhaps the monday beforehand.

I was kind of the same boat with the packets. Even though I don't use all of them, I'm happy i bought the bundle because the question types that trip me up were not always readily apparent, so it was nice to have those packets already handy.

When you guys drill a particular question type, how many of those questions do you usually do? And if you are doing multiple do you switch it up or go one type at a time?

i do about forty five minutes worth, so like 40-45? and i work through from easiest to hardest. i do not switch it up between LR question types, although i make sure to do at least two section types a night (so like LR and 2 section games or RC and 1 section game, etc etc).

Took PT56 today:

LG −1 [Had 5 mins to review and this still happened. Ugh.]
LR1 −3
LR2 −2
LRX −5 [I really need to start taking the exp. seriously]
RC −1

93/100

174.

Going to do a heavy review of this tonight and really fix my LR issues. Drilling Flaw/Role/Parallel tomorrow with an RC section.

Great thank you! I will do that tonight for the assumption questions, and i'll do parallel and method-statement tomorrow morning before I do PT 62. I'll do RC since it is still giving me trouble.

For more normal people :) I am thinking about making the same offer I have on the past 2 tests, which is I will field phone calls from whoever calls. I seem to have had, for some, a calming/confidence instilling effect.

If you think you would be interested let me know. I would need a critical mass because for EST people this would require me to get up as early at 4:30am-ish. Let me know!
Are you suggesting you field calls on test day?
I am. I have the past two tests, which was predicated upon a call I made for someone the morning of test day who did 5 points higher than she thought she might.

Obviously I am not saying some magical talk will bump people's scores. But I also have tons of experience with calming people's nerves and giving them a bit of a confidence boost (I was a CSO Dean with a decently large OCI after all and I used to have to talk to people so nervous they were sick). Just an option, if we don;t have 3-4 takers I'll just sleep past 5am :)

Is it just me or was the Second LR in PT 61 kind of on the difficult side. Some of the answers seemed weird.

I just drilled 16 sufficient questions, I don't want to burn through the whole thing at once. I got 1 wrong that I shouldn't have, I just misread the answer, and one that was a little more tricky, the honest and poor farmer. Do you guys usually review all of your right answers too? Or do you just figure out why you got the wrong ones wrong?

I did better on necessary assumption questions, I went 35/36 and the one I got wrong I just missed a key word. So basically I need to read more carefully. I am taking PT 62 tomorrow morning and hopefully it will go better than 70 did.

I for some reason, in some sick and twisted way that only the LSAT could produce, love these types of questions.

i like them too, but i do not do as well on them as some other types that i like much, much less (parallel flaw, i hate you, but thank you for the easy points)! we are truly sick. i'll be drilling them this weekend, i think.

Based on the 7sage LSAT scorer, the last like 8 questions are all pretty difficult it seems. So sounds like its a tough section. I took it while back so I don't quit remember my experience, but I think I tanked that section lol.

had to go back and look. i recall feeling like the 2nd LR was pretty hard compared to the 1st one, which I found uncharacteristically easy. so i had a very slow start, adjusting to the increase in difficulty. in fact one of the two i got wrong was the second question. oops! if you were tired it was probably even more difficult to make the shift efficiently.

Yeah I mised 2 of the first five. I was like WTF is this sorcery, that never happens. And the crazy thing was, I knew I was missing them.

lmao sorcery. at least you REALIZED you were getting them wrong...the mytheco one (#2) went right over my head and i didn't even catch it during review. it's amazing that sometimes these easy ones pose a bigger problem than the "hard" ones!

i think that given the mantra of many here that you should go through the first 10 in 10 (a mantra i also subscribe to...), I think it is easy to not give those questions the due respect they sometimes deserve.

Right I usually go about 12 for 12 and the 13 to 16 range I usually miss one of those.

I just did PT62 for the second time, first time was probably early September. I got a 177, which is an outlier among outliers for me up to this point. I averaged around a 168 when I was taking tests fresh for the october lsat.

RC:-1 Best to date, usually -2 to -4
LR1:-1 best to date, usually -2 to -4
LG:-2 about average, game 2 (stained glass) gave me a terrible time.
LR2:-2

Edit: stained glass game is game 2 not 3

Drilling some strengthen, flaw, and parallel today. A few tough games, and an RC section. Point at issue drill this evening.

PT58 tomorrow.

PT66 Today, meh. Did 5 sections today for the first time since my diagnostic. It went alright in that regard, but still looking to improve better, especially in LR.

RC -4
LG (ex) -0
LR#1 - 3
LG - 0
LR#2 -3

Raw -90, Score: 170.

Experimental was from PT7, pretty easy LG overall. I can definitely do better in LRs, and I expect to do so. My goal for tomorrow's PT67 is to -3 overall combined in LR. We'll see how it goes.

Will review tonight.

PT58 today

LR1 −1
LR2 −3
LG −0
LG37X −1
RC −4

93, 172

Need to hammer down that LR to −1/-0 per. RC was unusually high and I think partly because this was my first early morning PT. Happy with that LG score but games felt quite easy. Reviewing tonight, doing a buncha different drills tomorrow and monday.
