Also I don't get why circle games are hard?? I approach them the same way as linear games, and I don't think they're that bad? It's just linear with a twist!

ya i never thought they were that hard either. But neither was the game in June, but so many people missed it. Its not necessarily the difficulty of a game that kills people, its the difference.

In regards to the weird LG, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we saw another one. I'm also expecting a crazy game like the new/used cd game... one that isn't actually difficult, but is SO jam-packed with info (that one had 2 categories, and 10 game pieces) that you'll get nervous and mess up.

Used lsatqa to identify some weaknesses..... how in the world do i have a 100% on RC main point questions, but 50% on LR main point questions.

I'm drilling those, since I actually lose ~2 points a test on them, which is a lot.

Edit: Also, taking PT 44 sometime within the next week, terrified because like 3 people have said how weird it was.

Any September takers in the Toronto/GTA area? I have a pretty steady study group going with one or two other people, but new blood/fresh perspectives are always welcome!

Pretty much struggling with timing on every section to some extent (except LG). Usually just a question or two. Does anyone who had this problem shortly after making the jump to full PTs have any suggestions for improvement? Outside of aim for first 15 in 15 minutes on LR?

We were just discussing warming up with some questions before actually starting with the PT - Do it! it helps to get you into the groooove.

PS, don't aim for 170. Aim for 180. Seriously, it's not impossible, if you're getting a 167 now while accidentally bombing LR, you can do it. Plus, it will be better to be disappointed by a 172 than thrilled with a 170.

That definitely would have helped. Haha yeah I'd be stoked to be upset about a 172 !

Had my first LSAT nightmare last night. I woke up late and forgot an eraser. Ended up getting abducted by aliens during the break and taken to a cave beneath the test center. Definitely canceling that score.

in MTL but good luck! Curious where the test centres are? I'm nosy and have a love/hate thing with my old hometown.

Also - Canadian or US schools?

I'm always weirdly excited to see other Canadians here, sorry...

Throughout my drilling process, and even in the LSAT Trainer drills, my weakest LR question type is always weaken questions. I'm having a lot of difficulty understanding what can be causing me to be good at flaw questions, good at strengthening questions, but horrible at weaken questions...

Has anyone who has ever had trouble with this type and overcame it, or anyone in general who has a good grasp of this type offer any tips or suggestions for how i can approach/answer these questions?

FWIW i do use the MLSAT forum for any question i get wrong/confused about, but maybe my brain isn't really processing what i'm supposed to 'see'

The usual suspects would be:

not focusing on the conclusion/trying to weaken premises
not predicting what you think the correct answer will be after reading the stem
being poor at weakening causality

Any of these hitting home?

I've probably gotten to the point where I've been a little dejected by seeing so many incorrect answers that i'm not trusting my approach anymore, even though I'm quite sure the approach can't be the culprit. I think the explanation that most hit home was the idea of being poor at weakening causality and perhaps trying to weaken premise. How would I improve in these regards?

As an aside, should one feel comfortable with a question type in LR if one is able to get just about all the questions in Levels 1-3 in the Cambridge packets correct, but struggles with some of the Level 4 questions? I'm an optimistic person, but I'm also realistic in that the likelihood of getting perfect on an LR section is sort of beyond my capabilities. So with that being said, should I be overly worried if I can't get a level of difficulty question that might only show up once or twice per section?

I also had a dream that I got a 175, but my only acceptance was a full ride to Fordham - I had maybe looked at TLS once or twice at this point, knew very little about admissions, and I when I woke up I wasn't even sure if Fordham was a real law school or something my brain made up.

No aliens though.

What's helped me with timing in all sections is developing a sixth sense of knowing when you know a question and knowing when you should double check and slow down. There's really no magic bullet to make everything fit perfectly, you got to practice a lot and recognize this kind of stuff, but with enough practice you get to the point where you can read a question stem, know what the answer is, then move on in a blaze of an instant. I think you may be like me a month or so ago, when LG timing was solid, but LR and RC were consistently rocky. Think about LG for a moment - aren't there a ton of questions once you set up your game and diagram the rules that you just instant KNOW is the right answer? That's at least how it is for me, and what allowed me to start finishing on time consistently. The same goes for LR and RC; you have to develop that knowledge base to pick up time on certain questions which are easy and you know. And honestly, if you hit 15 in 15 you should have no time finishing the rest of LR on time.
