Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
I just bought the 6 practice books. I'm using the first two to drill. The middle 2 to time myself. The last two for timed tests. I think it goes up to 71. I'm also going to buy individually the tests from 72-hopefully December 2016 or Feb 2017 by thendj9i27 wrote:similar to me:PrezRand wrote:Drill until Feb. Use feb to start doing timed sections. Jan-Feb: is read all Manhattan w/ drilling by QT
March-April: Timed w/ drilling by QT (Maybe 5? PTs)
May-June: PT hell
Somewhere in there re read the trainer

Hmm that strategy for LG sounds good. I might try itdj9i27 wrote:Feb 17 is non disclosed so you can't buy it (idk why, they release every other one) but the superprep series is the old feb tests. I think our breakdown is similar, I'm making 3 copies of each Game from 1-50 tho and using them to drill over ~3 months.PrezRand wrote:I just bought the 6 practice books. Getting back to the grind is hard for me. I think I'm going to sit down either tonight or tomorrow morning and put together a study schedule.

Hi, all. Checking in—for the first time!
I'm preparing to sit for the June 2017 LSAT, and I've been using the LR Bible + Matt Kim's LSAT Trainer as a review of exam question types. I then plan on delving into practice tests to pinpoint question types that I am struggling with, reviewing content in prep materials, and taking additional practice tests. Look forward to connecting with more people, and also for preparing for next fall's admissions cycle.

Yeah that's true, plus I'm back home and I always struggle to be productive while I'm here lol. My gf's visiting this weekend for New Years so waiting until after then would be a good idea. She's great at putting up with my constant studying, I owe her a full weekend without itdj9i27 wrote:other factors too man, the holidays are in full swing; maybe wait until after new years at least? I don't want to start until I have settled into the new(ish) city for a week, which puts me at mid-late jan.blackmamba8 wrote:Getting back to the grind is hard for me. Welcome! Happy to hear someone mention the application cycle too. While I am gunning for 170, I've accepted that even if I fall short of that, I want to apply for the upcoming fall cycle. Getting the score I want is important, but as is finishing law school before 30!rubixcube wrote:Hi, all. Checking in—for the first time!

I would recommend you also G et the LG Bible too. Everyone here swears by it, and I am finding it helpful too.

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Thanks for the recommendation. I've really enjoyed the LR Bible so far, although I find that the conditional reasoning chapter moves a bit too quickly and jumps into the material without providing sufficient background—especially for beginners. I'm supplementing the conditional reasoning chapter with the chapters in Mike Kim's LSAT Trainer, which has filled in the gaps nicely.greatspirit wrote:Welcome! I'm going to look into the LG Bible, the books are a bit expensive. I might buy an older version, because I bought the 2017 edition for the LR Bible. Does anyone know if the content is effectively the same?

Was a little upset at how bad I did on RC compared to the other sections, but thanks! If I did well on RC I would've easily been above 170 which hasn't ever happened for me on a PTPrezRand wrote:NiceeeMikey wrote:Did a PT today, got a 166. You still have 5 months. You got this. I haven't taken a PT since my diagnostic in Nov (161). If I took a PT now I think I would be around a 164Mikey wrote:Was a little upset at how bad I did on RC compared to the other sections, but thanks! For all those prepping, don't worry if your score goes down. It's not atypical for scores to decrease a bit when you beging to prep.

166 for a "Fresh Restart Studying" PT is really good man, if I hit that I'll be happy, but I won't know until like mid Feb.
