6 months isn't really that much time if you think about how many PT's there are to hit.

I'm definitely game for this. I am hitting PT 39 onwards end of January. I think some sort of blackboard platform where we can illustrate questions or diagramming could be helpful.Binghamton1018 wrote:So I mentioned a couple of pages back: how does everyone feel about taking a PT around the same time as each other and reviewing together? I have scheduled a PT tentatively for 2/13 and am thinking either PT 64 or 65 (open to suggestions/consensus). It’s a Saturday. I think together, if we pool our collective understanding of the intricacies/subtleties of the test together, we can really help each other out and gain new perspective! Looking forward, much has been made about the differences between newer tests (say: post PT 60 or so) versus older tests. I would like to explore these (supposed) differences as a group, so we are prepared for this coming June.
Happy prepping my friends and welcome to all those that are checking in!
P.S.: I'm open to any method of reviewing the tests that will work: chat room? some sort of "Go-to-meeting" program, I don't quite know.

I would be game but I'm probably hitting that PT way later than February. I can do another PT that day for solidarity though.

I will not disclose how I prepared my last couple times taking the LSAT *cough, cough*. After a few years, grad school and life moving on... I'm looking for a different approach. It's overwhelming reading about all the options to study for the test. How'd you figure out what was best for you?
I'm doing a class starting in February and from now until then I will be going through the Cracking the LSAT book and taking the last 10 tests (timing every other one).

Welcome to the thread! The process can seem incredibly overwhelming at first! But TLS is a great resource for garnering advice. I started with Powerscore because of all the recommendations on TLS. It isn't the be-all-end-all, but certainly great for fundamentals. Manhattan LSAT has great guides and I've heard-tell that the LSAT trainer is great (will be getting The Trainer towards the end of this month.) The good thing is that all of us that have started prep this early are giving ourselves a pretty decent head-start!Millennialish wrote:I will not disclose how I prepared my last couple times taking the LSAT *cough, cough*. I think about how short 6 months actually is every-single-day. hahaha. In other news, I've been watching for when registration opens up! I found a website that rates testing centers and it's looking like Albany Law School is the best in my general area (which makes intuitive sense because a law-school would presumably respect how important this test is for students.) Are we going to know when registration opens up ahead of time, or do have to keep checking regularly?Rigo wrote:6 months isn't really that much time if you think about how many PT's there are to hit.

I liked SUNY Albany (standard lecture hall type stadium seating) with digital clock projected on the wall.

And idk when it opens up. I would think some time in January to give people an opportunity to switch to June before they sit.

September 2014 Waiters will be pruned soon and I will be back to 8k+, but whatever. Spent countless hours on TLS.

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
Good morning everyone! I wanted to share a list of LR questions categorized that I came across with everyone because it has been of value to me during my prep. Basically, every LR question pre PT 60 is categorized:
http://lsatblog.blogspot.com/2009/06/ls ... .html#flaw
This has been useful to me for 2 reasons: 1.It allows me to supplement my drilling on specific types (as long as you have the words in parenthesis blocked out, because these often tip off the answers.)
2.I have been wondering for awhile what certain types of stimulus look like: for instance "circular reasoning" questions. By studying the incorrect answer choices, you can really shed some light on LR!

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
^I should clarify #2. What I mean is that for many flaw questions for example, some variation of a description of circular reasoning has appeared as an incorrect answer choice. I can’t recall an actual use of circular reasoning in a stimulus and had began searching for a question that would contain this flaw blindly. A list, like the above, shortens this process considerably, for many LR questions.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
