It just dawned on me that the average increase in average LSAT score for the 2 retakes is ~2.5 points each, however since they are extending how many times you can take the LSAT, I wonder how many times you can retake until a point of diminishing returns takes place. We don't really have stats for this since the limit was three times in two years. This is interesting, and it's likely you will start to see people during their freshman years start prepping for the LSAT.

I disagree. If that were to be the case, I think we'd see a lot more people max out their 3 takes. But obviously, that's not the norm. A lot of people are one-and-done or two-and-done, and I don't think that the removal of the cap will affect the vast majority of test takers.

Or it could just be people get sick of taking it and/or there is time restraints for applying etc.

But really, did he stress too much about the test/applying?

He was a stressed guy, but he killed the test, killed his app, and got a fully to the school of his dreams. Then he left us after months of grade A shitpoasting without any real warning

Did he end up deciding on UVA for sure? Last I read from him he was freaking TF out because he couldn't decide if he should pull his Yale app and just run with UVA or not

No clue, he left before he heard back from Yale. He was definitely odd in that he didn't want to have to make a choice. He got a full ride, and immediately withdrew all of his other apps, but then threw out the extra app months later

This is my hope too. LSAC is making a bunch of crazy changes, and I wouldn't be surprised if they push to have scores released quicker than is typical.

I booked a cruise from Puerto Rico for score release day

I leave for a ski trip to Chile on August 16 and really hope I don't have to take study materials with me. Next weekend I head to Steamboat Springs for mountain biking and to visit my mom. It will either be a distraction from the wait, a celebration of a year of fun before starting school, or a mourning and last blast before buckling down again.

I'm not studying for September yet as I know myself well enough that I know I need a mental break and more physical activity to get me in the right frame of mind for round two if necessary.

My goals are lower than most of you but my path is pretty well set with 1 primary school option, a company that will employ me throughout school and pay for a portion or school, a boss that wants me to do this with the thought that I'll take his role as US counsel for a U.K. based holding company when he retires, an already secured externahip etc. But when you have several people in your company, including members of the board of directors, watching there's some pressure.

I'm feeling much better about my score now, if I had to give an estimate of what I scored I'd probably say a 169 (lowest to for sure not retake) and have felt this way for several days now. Whether this is accurate remains to be seen though....
