I have no food at home right now & I'm too lazy to go to the grocery store (despite living down the street from one, lol). Just some hummus & pita is dinner for me. *sad sigh*

Yea, this old lady next to me kept bumping me with her elbow, there was more than the normal amount of turbulence, and I had a pretty big headache the entire time. But I scored 3 points higher than in September, so hopefully that means on a better day I will score higher.Dirigo wrote:It'd be super good practice at coping with distractions, I bet.JackelJ wrote:For anyone planning on flying over the holidays - taking a PT during the flight sucks haha

I don't know where all this extra weight is going towards. I've gained a good 20 pounds since summer but people say I don't look that much bigger.

Yeah, I'm going to try to PT in really quiet conditions as well as noisy ones. I would rather have a bunch of distractions that all cancel each other out. That must have been so distracting having it be silent except for the proctor.Dirigo wrote: I found that there were way less distractions on test day than the 7Sage app that I used. I wish there were actually that many distractions so they would all drown each other out rather than just having one proctor whispering (bitch).

Wow. Well you have amassed over 4,000 poasts since July of this year, frequent this site on a daily basis, and thoroughly edit the c/o 2017 medians thread. Seems like you are pretty serious.

But you also have to take into account opportunity loss. Life is indeed subject to rapid change, but it is also about taking calculated risks. And waiting too long seems uncalculated.

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
I dont think its fair to call his/her decision uncalculated. Everyone is dealing with their own special circumstances. Law school and the choosing a career as a lawyer is not something anyone should take lightly. I've been on this forum since freshman year of college and have for years now researched so much about law - everything i need to do to get into a top law school, everything that is involved with law school, a career as a lawyer, etc. And, after being out of school since May, I am anxious of just getting into law school already and I'm somewhat upset that I have to wait another year before I can apply. But even after all that, I wonder if I dove too quickly into all of this and If i need to be more patient. I think you should take as much time as you need. I worked at a biglaw firm, and I remember having severe second thoughts about the whole situation. I would work insane hours and I wasnt even a damn lawyer. Some nights I would go home at 10 at night, and the lawyers would still be there when I left. I would occasionally come in the weekends to work for maybe an hour and they would be there before I came, and after I left. This is a different kind of life. Put in as much thought as you need. Seriously.I<3ScholarlySweets! wrote:But you also have to take into account opportunity loss. Life is indeed subject to rapid change, but it is also about taking calculated risks. Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
This is what you're doing: you're waiting to see if there is room for growth in your current career (career opportunities you want to mull over"). Say there aren't any or the opportunities that you do get aren't ones you're satisfied. You've grinded your way to get them and try them out, but since they arent what you expected you go "see ya" and matticulate to law school. You may justify your decision to "mull career opportunities over" with the principle that "well I tried something, didn't like it, and that's why I will move on to a new path, viz law school." But niw it seems like you're only doing law school because you couldn't hack it in your prior career.

If it is awesome, great. That's really good because few people get those types of careers. If it's bad, don't go to law school because of it.
And please, for christ's sake, don't do it because you think it will help you get into YLS.

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
not sure if alt trolling or you're really as stupid and arrogant as you come off.... you obviously aren't understanding any of the responses you have been getting (earlier that pretty much spelt out now no1 appreciates you're condescending posts or the current ones trying to pretend you understand other peoples lives enough to give them advice which realistically not even advice) Rigo knows how he feels about LS and his prospective opportunities and how they can merge or stay completely apart... you talk about opportunity loss yet you're spewing random crap telling him to pretty much just choose what he will do for the rest of his life in an instant without thoroughly thinking it out and weighing all possibilities. Yes life is subject to change, yes calculated risks are involved... LS is a huge calculated risk and if you read anything Rigo has posted you'll notice that he has thought about what he will do and is still thinking... how waiting a long time seems uncalculated is just beyond me, jumping into something is what is uncalculated... you take what he says and twist it into a situation of your own, not his so when you give a scenario it has no bearing on anything bc it is very likely it is nowhere near the actual situation... I am all for people being friendly and helping while having a little fun but this is just getting annoyingI<3ScholarlySweets! wrote:If it is awesome, great.
