Re: December 2013 Retakers
Would anyone be up for reviewing PT 59 on Friday night (9ish)? Could we arrange something like before with Blackboard?

Re: December 2013 Retakers
My take on fee waivers fwiw: I'm below 25% stats for T-14 (hence the retake) but I've gotten tons unsolicited including Columbia, Duke, UVA, Michigan and Vanderbilt. Clearly they are casting a wiiiide net because my numbers have no business attracting their attention.
That said, if December goes well I'll pay the $25 to hold onto the hope a little longer

Wow. Maybe you have hidden fee waivers? I've received waivers for all the T14s sans HYS, Cornell and Berkeley and my stats aren't stellar.action90 wrote:havent heard from any of those schools besides VandyCookieDough wrote:My take on fee waivers fwiw: I'm below 25% stats for T-14 (hence the retake) but I've gotten tons unsolicited including Columbia, Duke, UVA, Michigan and Vanderbilt. I have UCLA, Penn, Vandy (out of schools that I'd actually apply to). At what point should I start soliciting them?AAJD2B wrote:Wow. Maybe you have hidden fee waivers? Are you doing the full trainer + PTs 52-61 using the 4 week plan?blackbirdfly wrote:One month left! Ahhh!
My Synchro is arriving today, I'm about 2/5 into the Trainer, and 1/2 through my second reading of Manhattan LR. I've only taken one PT since the October test though. I hope to take at least 3 between tomorrow and Monday.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
I just scoured through my inbox in search of waivers. Alls I've got from higher ranked schools are UCLA, Minnesota Twin Cities, and WUSTL. I have 3.85/166. I received the UCLA waiver before I even took October 2013 LSAT (166) when the only score on my CRS was 163 from last year. WTF.
I wants to get a bite of this wide net too.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
with the talk of fee waivers and what not, I went to a local forum yesterday. 20 schools probably, half of which were local regionals and half of which were no name schools (touro, ave maria?) I was able to snag a few fee waivers on all the schools I inquired about. If there is a forum, I highly suggest you try the same

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Is getting waiver from pretty high ranking schools a good sign? I had thought some of these schools were kind of a reach for me (3.98/167) but receiving waiver makes me confused. I got several, but ones I cared to count were Chicaco, NYU, UPenn, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Duke, Washington, UCLA. Are they just trying to cast a wider net than they would care to accept?
Anyways... of I go to read Manhattan LR....

Re: December 2013 Retakers
The reasons the schools are giving the waiver to you for could include that, or be a combination of a wide variety of other things. For example, some schools give it out to you in order to encourage those with high scores to apply, others give it to those with median scores, others give it to those with scores too low to be admitted in order to lower their acceptance rate, etc. The reason behind an individual waiver doesn't seem too discernible nor necessarily relevant to one's application.esther0123 wrote:Is getting waiver from pretty high ranking schools a good sign? It's basically just like getting a coupon in the mail. Whatever the reason it came, it still saves you money if you decide to apply.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
