Personally I think it will be Tuesday, but after the hell that was September, I can't spend every day on eggshells anxiously thinking that today is the day, so I'm preparing myself for Wednesday, and if it comes a day earlier it's a bonus.

Isn't the LSAC closed tomorrow? I mean September was scheduled the 20th and came out the 19th so I figured it would be kind of akin for December.

Well I finished my apps except for some basic stuff and a final read through of the resume/personal statement, so when we get scores I'll be able to send them in...I only wrote "why X" for schools that specifically ask for it, anyone have thoughts on that? Should I do it for my reaches? Local schools that might think I'm not genuinely interested and treating them like safetys?

I'm where you are. I also only wrote "why X" for schools that asked. I also have a little at the end of my PS that mentions the different schools. If your reaches are T6, they assume if you get in you will matriculate, so they don't need a "why X". I've heard Michigan, UVA, Penn, and Duke like them for protecting their yield. Also I mentioned family members having been in undergrad at some schools (UT), and that having family close by makes them a stronger option. Is that appropriate?

That is risky. I would try and frame it as "I took advantage of some of the resources (as much as I could), but there's so much more I would like to explore/take advantage of"

Otherwise they might just think "well if he didn't take advantage of anything as an undergrad, why would he change?" unless you have some kind of grounded life epiphany to explain why something will change
