So far I've only used the LSAT Trainer, and I like its simplified approach.
Thanks!

December is a long way out
You'd likely burn through a lot of material before then if not all the PTs

It's going good. I have a 12 week study plan using:withoutapaddle wrote:

manhattan RC guide
Powerscore RC strategy types
Powerscore LR strategy types
Powerscore Games strategy types
Otherwise I'm re-reading the Powerscore bibles
I've been focusing main point and must be true questions this week. With 13 weeks left starting next week I'm going to put in 8 hours a day.
I'm using the extra week to only drill games. I think 3 months is enough time to study for the test plus the 1 1/2 months I did for the Feb LSAT

Not timing and not blind reviewing is what killed me in Feb
Not studying RC much didn't help either. I figured that I've been reading my whole life how hard could it be and I literally had a panic attack during the test because I was unprepared

PT 40
exp pt 41 LR1 -2 (untimed -1)
LR1 -2 (untimed -1)
LG -3 (untimed -0)
LR2 -2 (untimed -1)
RC -4 (untimed -3)
timed 169 (untimed 176)
I have never truly committed to doing pts untimed. In the past, I have consistently checked the answers and redone the ones I knew were wrong, and this is hopefully why I have yet to become a 175+ scorer. Any one else get totally destroyed by game 3? I had at least 22 mins when I started and had 6 left when I finished it and still missed 2, and I bubbled the last answer to that section wrong b/c of short time. Will re-do this game until I own it. Oh... and screw RC.

Decided to take a PT after 2 months.
PT43:
LR1: -5
LR2: -6
RC: -9
LG: -1
Raw: 80
Scaled: 163
BR: 167
Took the approach of slow to hit 3 passages in RC which left me with nothing in the last one. BR showed that.
LR will get better. Little rusty.
170 land is what I want.

Re: The Official June 2014 Study Group
It seems like alot of ppl have taken a brief break from TLS, and I have as well (because I have been without a PC for about a week, and I do not like to type on my phone).
I am doing the drill 1-38 and PT 39-71 as full-length PTs. My drilling stage is taking a long time, and that is fine. I try to review as thoroughly as possible, and I still have a long way to go.
Games is going well. Stil missing some but getting faster and have gotten way better and making inferences and still improving.
I feel like I have yet to find the sweet spot on RC, but I feel like I am getting close. I get most Main Point questions, and I am getting better at the specific line/other not-main-point questions. Although, sometimes I'll spend 10 minutes on a passage and go -4.
LR was going well until I got to Weaken questions. I usually get around 75-80% on my Cambridge packets, but on the Weaken packet I have only gotten around 60% (and this is all untimed). I am reviewing really hard and I was trending up on level 2 until I got to level 3, haha.
I am excited to take a full-length Prep Test once my drilling stage is over and get a number on how much I am improved. But I probably won't finish my drilling stage until at least April. I may push my test date back until September, which is totally fine with me.

Re: The Official June 2014 Study Group
So I just completed the LR bible and have started LG. For people who study 6-8 hours a day, what can you possibly be doing? Are you just doing PTs or are there additional problem sets out there that I just haven't found? I've heard to stay away from anything that isn't taken from the LSAT which really limits my options. Does anyone have a solid daily schedule they're following that includes some practice problems?

Many people, including myself, drill problems separated by type using these sets from Cambridge:4LeafTayback wrote:are there additional problem sets out there that I just haven't found?

You can cover thousands of questions without using up more recent material from later prep tests.

I was going to PM you this, but I think that someone other than me may actually benefit from hearing a response from you (or anyone else) on this.
Walt: What do you do when you are drilling and you get a bunch of a question type wrong (like is currently happening to me on Weaken questions)? Do you take them even slower, and like write out:
Premises:
Conclusion:
Analysis of the gap:
And then go through each answer choice and relate it to what you just did?
Or do you have another method for a question type that gives you a problem?
I mention the above example of what to do because I don't know how else to get better at these questions that are giving me fits. I want to gain the skills needed to understand these arguments but I am unsure how to go about that.

Thought I might join in. 3 years ago I studied for a month, took the test, cancelled. Now I'm back studying again and hoping to do better this time around.
Is this an appropriate place to post questions about specific questions? (without posting the actual LSAT ?)
