Three lessons learned from my most recent PT:
1. Read the question stem, Pozzo. There's a huge difference between "Which option most clearly conforms to the principle?" and "Which option most clearly VIOLATES the principle?"
2. Skip parallel questions and come back to them at the end. I usually work on those a little frantically because I don't want them to suck too much time. This usually costs me a correct answer. By coming back to them at the end, I knew exactly how much time I had to work on them, and was able to be much more careful.
3. Don't misbubble. Just don't.

I think the nose-tongue thing would actually put you above most of the people at Yale. You should probably leave that out. You need to be REALLY unfantastic to set yourself apart from the other Yale applicants.34iplaw wrote:Yale 250:

Anyone for PT19 S3 P4 #25 B vs E...anything more definitive than the Kaplan site saying E isn't negative enough?
I went with E, since the author gives some credit to Drescher 'more balanced view'

I had similar! Most embarassing LR fail was when I went -1 due to misreading, on about the fourth question, "X and Y do not agree over what?", and of course skipped over the "not" which began a new line.Pozzo wrote:Three lessons learned from my most recent PT:

Also, turns out games get a lot harder when you've read "At most" as "At least" ..... :/

So I did prep tests A, B and C (the feb ones) and I gotta say they were...weird? Idk. Weird. Maybe it's a feb thing but they really threw me.
Also wild inconsistency on RC- Prep Test B RC went -5 and Prep Test 64 went -1. Ugh. I really need to ace RC to make up for expected losses on LG...

Just because a watermelon is heavier than a bottle of rosé does not necessarily mean that the former is pricier.34iplaw wrote:

I went with E, since the author gives some credit to Drescher 'more balanced view'
Likewise, more balanced =/= convincing; B is the lesser of two evils: the author ultimately concludes Drescher's view is incomplete/unrealistic.

Yeah, give it a shot and see how you like it. It's really a pretty incremental change. It helped me know what to look for as I was reading and preformulate my answer.dj9i27 wrote:I'll give it a shot this afternoon, might be a little late to restrategize but who knows.Pozzo wrote:I switched to stem first midway through my September studying. That makes sense. Thank you. I assigned value judgement to balanced which doesn't really happen in this case.Deardevil wrote:Just because a watermelon is heavier than a bottle of rosé does not necessarily mean that the former is pricier.34iplaw wrote:

Two LR sections in 59 minutes.
Wasn't sure of one question from each; ended up getting one of those wrong and another random one wrong.
