Re: The Official October 2015 Study Group
Cool! I would've guessed a turn-based strat. game would've been better for LG, but whatever works. Something weird that I've noticed for myself is I haven't played any video games at all since I started prepping for the LSAT, and I usually play quite regularly. Seems as though LSAT is fulfilling a similar need for me ( stimulating puzzle solving, grinding away for a few more points/rewards). Kinds crazy how addictive studying for this test has proven to be, and I think my general affinity for it is helping me improve.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Anyone notice any weird quirks that seems to help them with their studying? Things similar to reading to help with RC. I noticed that when I started playing more video games, my LG scores went up. It peaked when I went through a Destiny/FPS phase, and tanked when I started playing more assassins creed. Not really even that big of a gamer, but when I started playing more I had some gains so I just stuck with it.

PT 62 was rough. stupid stained glass window game and the lack of space on the paper for the first game.

Took PT 41 as my first full pt since december on saturday. Got a 165
was wondering if anyone has a breakdown on how to blindreview an entire PT. For some reason the 7sage explanation just doesnt click with me all that well.
Also found that Flaw questions appear to be my weakness and they shall be drilled without mercy.

Whenever I listen to nice 90s rap music, my RC and LR scores increase, but when I listen to trap/raw rap music, my RC scores go down and my LG scores go upMint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Anyone notice any weird quirks that seems to help them with their studying? I got steamrolled by that game when I took the PT.npt2901 wrote:PT 62 was rough. stupid stained glass window game and the lack of space on the paper for the first game.
Have since done it about 5 times and could probably do it -0 now fairly easily. I feel like there was an inference that I missed that really helped.

Re: The Official October 2015 Study Group
Can someone critique the way I review my PTs?
LG: print off a fresh version and do the games again slowly. If I do not get -0, I will print it the game again and redo the game.
LR: review the ones I circled (was unsure of) and obviously review the ones I got wrong by writing in a notebook the conclusion and the premises and going through the method of how to answer each question slowly. Writing why each answer was wrong and why the right one was correct. (I am still only getting to question 22 need tips on increasing speed :/). Reviewing Manhattan explanations, lsat hacks explanations, and velocity lsat video explanations (I paid for it so I have the full videos)
RC: underlining where the right answer was in the passage. Actually I need more insight on how to review RC.

I have been studying since 10 am this morning (it's 3:38 where I am) and my eyes feel like they're going to fall out
. I had a dream last night that I got a 170 and I cried in the dream. I can't even escape the LSAT in sleep.

Ugh.
Took PT 66 today. 167. Went -8 on non-LG and -6 LG. My worst performance in awhile.

I have a half full bottle of Woodford sitting on my shelf. I should do 1 shot per missed LG.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Drink some whiskeyMrBalloons wrote:Ugh.

After having fun this weekend and a lack of sleep, slowly getting back into it with drilling 4 games and 4 passages. Nothing to crazy.

LSAT dreams are the best. I absolutely love trying to find what is most most strongly supported in my dream state.
