Hmm. I hadn't thought of a cover letter. I know he'll ask me for some things to say about myself. I've asked him for LORs/to be a reference before (TFA/jobs) and he asked for that. I feel bad asking again, but I have no one else. :/

I'm sure he'll be more than happy to write you one. I bet they get asked for this stuff all the time. And since you're not K-JD, your professional ones will more than make up for it.

i think asking for LORs is too soon at this juncture. They will forget lol. And they can't submit it to LSAC until August or something. Plus, you'll have an LSAT score ready if you wait.

Curios how getting an LOR affect getting an LSAT score?

No I'm 3 years out now, 4 years when I apply.

I have 2 out of 3 recommendations. I'm waiting until the spring to ask my supervising attorney at the firm I'm currently working at to write my 3rd.

Don't be afraid to ask professors from even 4-5 years ago. Mines was more than happy to write me one. She loves me though haha. And honestly, what do you have to lose?

I know I will be writing at least one addendum for an approved medical withdrawal my freshmen year of college.

Yeah, I was actually back in my school city to visit some friends and ended up asking my professor if he could write a LOR. He said, for my convenience, if I email him my transcript/resume/short cover letter, then he would take care of the delivery. Such a nice professor.

Profs can fax in the letter too. One of my profs did it. That way you don't have to worry about it getting lost in the mail & I think it gets processed faster too. One of my roomies at the time had her professor send it in snail mail around the time I had mine faxed & mine showed up in my LSAC account like a week earlier than hers.

Good point. Mine works in Australia, so the chances of it getting lost are a lot higher, also.

Wait, dont they just upload the recommendation to the LSAC website? I was under the impression that is how my prof did it.

they have a lot of options to submit the LOR, but it's primarily uploaded via online or snail mail. Haha.

The place where I grew up was basically the same type of place. All you see around you is just dirt and more dirt. No hills, no water, just flat, dry land.
