I'm not sure but for a clear understanding of whats holding you back from 173+, you should probably try to figure out which types of questions you're getting wrong and drill even more

For me it all depends on the RC, especially the science passage. Im going -0 on the games and Im usually -5 to -8 on LR. But for RC sometimes Ill go -2 and other times Ill go -7.

Congrats! Science passages are my favorite, though. I've yet to miss a question in my last 7 PTs for a science passage. I guess I find them interesting.

Also a weird note for me, the harder the RC section the better I do. My worse section score was on a medium level section at -4, while I consistently score -2 or -1 on hardest sections.

What are your blind review scores like?

Low 160s. Ive been reading the bibles and basically only practicing LG for the last month and a half. LG has gotten to be one of my strongest sections in the PTs but I still need to improve it. Now I need to finish the trainer and REALLY drill/ take PTS.

Are the Cambridge packets the only thing good for drilling LR/RC?

So I can just use some old PT sections of LR and RC to drill?

Is there anyway to see the reasoning in the answers of these questions without having to pay for 7sage?

If you're just trying to grade sections, google "lsat answers" and there's a site that has every answer key. I think it's from Cambridge.

If you're looking for explanations for hard questions, just google the stimulus and you'll probably find a relevant thread on the Manhattan forums, like the other guy said.

Do other people that aren't struggling for time on LR just drill untimed? I've been doing it this way this time around, but don't really know if it's standard.

Yes, and for me one of the best ways to improve accuracy on LR is to write explanations for the questions that give me a hard time.

I probably miss about 2 per 100 I do, so I'm basically drilling for maintenance of skills at this point.

But yeah, I've had a lot of luck with that method too. For some question types more than others.

The thing is, for me, I don't think drilling "untimed" even means I'm going that slowly. I bet my per question speed is still good enough to finish in time.

Nice work! Timed LG just kills me. I'll go -0 on ten straight from the Difficult Games packet, put a timed section in front of me and its always -1/-2.

I think one thing you have to take into account is the uncertainty factor going into a timed section. With drilling, you know you are doing a certain type of game, and this makes reading the rules a lot easier. But when you do a timed section, you have to pay closer attention to the rules to identify the game type and the correct setup. Maybe try drilling different types of games together as well.
This is exactly why I'm doing only timed sections of games. I'm separating the 1-38 cambridge games into sections and just folding the top of the page so I can't see what type of game it is. Granted I have all the fundamentals down and I don't really prefer any kind of game to any other.

No preference at all? I will take linear over grouping any day of the week.

This is very good advice. Relaxing during prep is important. Understanding how to cram things does help too but that should not be a consistent expectation. So all of you who are anxious about this should relax at least a little bit from time to time.
