I'm following the 4 month LSAT Trainer schedule strictly for now. Just took the 2nd PT in the schedule (PT 63 I think) and improved 14 points from the first PT. I'm pretty happy with that (although I thought the LG for this PT was on the easy side), so thank you LSAT Trainer. Still got a bit to go to get to the score I require. I find my attention getting strained after the first 2 sections. I also still run across LR problems that just bewilder me. I may need to get the LR Bible or something to help me with that.

Took my first pt yesterday, haven't touched material in months and got a 165. Feels pretty annoying but at least I know where I'm starting from.

Anyone looking for a study partner/ have experience using one? I'm considering one to increase motivation and personal responsibility so I don't slack off.

God, I know what you mean. It's a great way to, like, completely dissociate yourself from immediate, real-life concerns (of a non-'future career' nature) and feel like you're doing something productive & worthwhile at the same time? As much as I complain about this test, idk what I'd be doing without it sometimes tbh.

Amen!

Just finished specializing all of my personal statements, and my final rec letter just came in. All that's left is to kill the LSAT and pull the trigger.

Redid the LG section from before. -3 this time. All same game, from not bothering to glance at the other answers before selecting the first one that seemed right. Well, I guess I know what I'll be working on this week!

Just getting coffee quick and then getting into my new LR homework on type one questions. It took me a bit longer to get to, but I wanted to review the lesson first and make sure that I really got the basics on lock. I'm pretty confident that I do. I also wanted to quickly go over the first 25 I did to double check I understand why I got wrong what I got wrong as well as make sure I didn't get anything right by faulty reasoning coupled with dumb luck.

I am feeling so frustrated! Just took a PT and got 163.
LG -4
LR -9
RC -3

Is it even possible to go up by 7 points by September? I work a full time job but am committed to studying 2 hours a day on weekdays and 4 hours a day on weekends.

June 2007 free online test. Pretty sure the logic games were unusually easy.

Does 7Sage have LR explanation videos too? I can't seem to find them. If they don't have them, is there another place I can find them?

Hell, just fixing LG would bump you about 4 points. Shave off another question or 2 per section, and you're golden. Slow and steady wins the race.

Ehh I've been studying for 2 solid months and just got the same raw score as you. Not sure how long you've been studying and if that score is typical or an anomaly, but, regardless, YES, IT'S POSSIBLE. Become aware of your weaknesses, or what it was that caused you to lose points, and work to correct them, and the improvements will (slowly but surely) come.

eta: also, I think most tests would scale that pretty darn close to a 170. You're good!

Right? Look up the backstory behind the soundtrack-- super interesting.

My internship just ended, and (other than a 4 day trip to see family) I have nothing to do for one month. I'm going to pump up my LSAT prep to 6 hours a day, and increase my workouts to 2 a day.

I'm using the same schedule for the Trainer as you (29-71 version though with some lower PT drills mixed in). Regardless of where you start a 14 point increase in a month or so is impressive.

On to your point though. There are a lot of people who like the Bible, however, it will teach you a different way of doing things then what you have learned in the Trainer. An example is the stimulus first approach the Bible takes on LR. If you're looking for something that builds on the methods in the Trainer, Manhattan might be worth a look.

Manhattan comes very highly recommended on these forums.

You've inspired me to put a little more time in. Lately, I've been putting in 3-4 hours a day depending on my commitments. 6 hours a day sounds like it could only help me at this point :D

SweetTort, I also have a question. When you were learning new games types, say, grouping for example. How long did it take you to get each game type down to -0?
