Although everyone probably knows this, today is the last day to register for December without paying a late fee. I had a mini heart attack when I realized that I forgot to register this weekend.

One thing about the app that I found useful is the amount of background noise/distractions you can include. The first time I used the app I had so much more trouble focusing, but it's good to prepare for test day possibilities like a sick person constantly coughing, construction/AC in the background, etc.dosto5 wrote:So does the proctor app actually do a decent job of recreating a test-day environment? I'll probably end up downloading it anyway but I'm curious to know if people are actually able to get into stress mode with it. Good news if yes.

I think the Feb 2003 exam was undisclosed, so it's probably the best one out of the four to take.dosto5 wrote:This is good to know; guess I'll just do 3/4 then. Thanks.neprep wrote: India PT1 is just the June 2007 exam, so I'd do 2-4.
PT2 is North America's Feb. 2003 exam.

I use the 7sage Proctor App for iPhone/iPad. A warning though that while the new update included a ton of new features, it has a glitch where it sometimes crashes in the middle of the 15 minute break. I just keep track of the time and reset it to Section 4 in case it happens.thisiswater wrote:Sorry, which app is this exactly?

Incoming calls can also screw with it, so I put my phone on airplane mode when I use it.melodygreenleaf wrote:I use the 7sage Proctor App for iPhone/iPad. PT 42
LG: 0
LR1: -2
LR2: 0
RC: -2
Exp (PT2 RC): -4
97/101, 177
That -4 Exp section...ouch. Changed three correct answers last minute. What they say about going with your gut instinct for RC is true.
I checked all my answers, but I'm still unsure about one of them. PT42 S2 #18 (LR) about bees and flowers. Can anyone explain this to me? Much love and thanks to anyone who does.

you are right..i did 58's LRs in about 25 mins and LG 30 mins, RC probably 30 mins or so.bbkk wrote:PourMeTea wrote:I've seen 58 before, probably in July or August. Taking it with 25 minute sections to incite panic.I can NEVER finish a RC section in 25 mins..
i found to keep focus starting from section 4 (coming back from break) is really hard. in June I bombed my real LG and past Oct i bombed the legendary 2nd LR section...any thoughts how to keep that focus on...?

yes you are totally right. we have to do both. burning PTs can only get us that far..dosto5 wrote:I like your attitude. But to answer your question, I think some people here might be following it, but it seems quite a bit of us are just [re]taking PTs to stay sharp and drilling/practicing specific sections on the side.kobe1020 wrote:so are you guys all following Mike's schedule from LSAT Trainer besides using more recent PTs to practice? I think I just read like 20+ pages to catch up. Omg my eyes.
Btw my 2 orders of Synchro just came via amazon prime. Gonna try it out tomorrow...but after reading what some people been saying I'm worried about taste lol. I am an avid protein shake drinker because of lifting, ON double rich chocolate whey anyone? Best tasting protein ever other than Muscle milk (but it's more fatty and extra carbs).

Hi,
Quick question. I am drilling Level 4 Flaw questions right now and I am timing myself per question, I am aiming at 2 minutes or less for Level 4 type questions is that a reasonable time limit for the more difficult LR questions?

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Interesting way to get back into PTing: I ended up doing two PTs in one sitting tonight without originally aiming to. I was going to just take 58, but I added in 52 LG as experimental. After I did both LG sections, I simply moved ahead to the next page of 52 and did LR1. Then, still not realizing it wasn't the right test, I went ahead and did 52 RC. Once and for all, I noticed I was way too early into the 52-61 book to be doing 58. That was a little frustrating, but then I realized I could just try doing an 8 section test, and it's not a bad idea given retakes generally feel less demanding, so putting two together feels like one and a half fresh tests, if I had to quantify it.
I was making it a point to randomize the sections up anyway, since I'd like to be adequately prepared for any sort of section arrangement on test day - this is something I rarely did prior to Oct, and actually, I rarely even included experimentals, so I was usually doing 4 section tests.
I went tonight in this order:
LG 58 - LG 52 - LR1 52 (7 minute break) - RC 52 - RC 58 - LR1 58 - LR2 58 (3 minute break) - LR2 52
So, overall:
52
180 -0 (orig 172)
58
175 -6 with 4 misses on RC and 2 on LG. (orig 172)
Basically, I want to hammer down RC in review of 58, as I went from -3 to -4 on RC here in the retake. I'm attributing that partly to seeing it after the other RC, but there's no excuse for a -4 on a retake of a RC section. My average on LG is -1, fresh or retake (It's odd. I see no inflation on LG retakes in terms of accuracy. Maybe in terms of timing.), so not surprised there.
I do suggest trying an 8 section test out though. My eyes were glazed over on the 8th section. If you're like me, and you feel like retakes aren't demanding enough, then possibly try the 6 section test or even 8 section a few times. Also, outside of LG, I gave myself 30 minutes to do the sections, and was pushing for 25 as motivation, which kept me engaged.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Would anyone like to try to take a crack at PT3-S2-Q14?
I choice (D) over (B), but I still do not fully understand how (B) serves as a better AC than (D).
My reasoning for (D):
P states in the stim: 36 consecutive hours of work impairs the ability of physicians to make the best medical decisions during the final portion of their shifts.
Q counters with: Thousands of now practicing physicians who have gone through the same training regiment have a proven track record of making good medical decisions during their training periods. So why bother changing anything?
I choice D because I thought it effectively undermined the basis of Q's justification in saying that "what they do in training vastly differs from what they do in a different specialized field". By stating that there are significant differences between training and in-field practice, wouldn't that weaken the reasoning presented in Q's counter-point?
Or is it because that Q addresses the issue in the statement "thousands of physicians now practicing having been trained according..." and thus addresses the contention brought up in (D) that renders (D) an incorrect AC?
EDIT:
I read the MLSAT explanation of why AC (D) is incorrect, but it wasn't exactly the most thorough explanation.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Anyone here get the "most difficult" packet for LR from cambridge? Any help? I am working through Manhattan LR right now and want more material to drill. I cant afford to get the packets for each section, I got the powerscore question type training and used that leading to october. Thinking about just erasing but I know ill see my original marks. Wish I found out about cambridge sooner
