Yay!!! Good work. Pretty balanced breakdown, so maybe just keep PTing? Drill some LR? Either way, looks like you're in good shape heading into the final push for Dec!CR2012 wrote:Hey all, last night I did PT 41, and got a 171!
LR1 -3
LG -2
LR2 -2
RC -3
This is my first time ever breaking 170, so I am extremely happy. I really love this feeling and hope I can use this as motivation.

Just entered my PT into LSATQA, turns out I was a little hasty in my correcting, I went -3 in every section for a 170. Still, I am very happy to see some improvement. I am going to take PT 67 on Saturday. I also have Superprep C that I haven't taken, and I think PT 42 and 43 are largely untouched.
I am going to mix drilling sections and PTing. I think people on here are right that, even though I have seen problems before, the most important thing is understanding the mechanics and patterns of correct answers.
Thanks for the encouragement!

This is either really good news because it means that it was an outlier and we can expect better or terrible news because it could possibly signify a new LSAT trend.Wormfather wrote:PT67

Oct Today
RC -4 -5
LR -7 -6
LG -11 -11
Scld 162 162
This just confirms to me that this test was an outlier. Had I scored a 170 then I could have assumed that maybe it was conditions, score inflation or something else. PT 67 was a perfect LG/LR storm for my skill set. I got to zones too late (5 minutes left) If I had time I would have gotten them all right. I also somehow mixed up a rule on the first game as well fucking it over.
Furthermore, with regards to LR/RC out of the 11 I got wrong, 6 of them are ones I got wrong in Oct as well.
Either way, I think I'm gambling on the first. I'm retaking this test Saturday morning so we'll see if my results match up with yours!

Sounds like those 6 repeats are a good opportunity to identity specific problem types to review at least. Consistency in your wrong answers can make for very productive studying.Wormfather wrote:PT67

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
If we got unlucky in October, that means we'll get lucky in December, right? That sounds logical.Wormfather wrote:I thought about that but I went -11 on LR/RC combined and -11 on LG alone. it seems that I should go back to drilling games, specifically the types of the first one and the last one...just in case this is a trend.mrizza wrote:Sounds like those 6 repeats are a good opportunity to identity specific problem types to review at least. If I had went -14 in October, It would be an under performance, but I wouldnt be retaking.

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Just took PT June 2007 (not fresh, but it's been quite while?)
163
-16
LG: -0
RC (experimental PT 42..I sort of remembered the passages): -3
LR: -5
LR: -3
RC: -8
Brutal curve; Didn't help that I bombed RC. I think it has to do partially with timing but I just need to drill RC more and pick out the common wrong answer trends.
Back to the RC and LR grind.

It's okay. My brother-in-law's mom is a nurse. She laughs too. One time she brought me a lancet from work to show me how they lock in place after a single use. Too bad they don't have those for needles yet. Or, do they?mrizza wrote:I laugh at your phobias so much I'm starting to worry I have sadistic tendenciesPickledPanda wrote:/shudderSugar Lumps wrote: Go sell plasma like a real poor.
