Forgot to tell y'all about this one, but highlight of my last semester - Prof gives a example on game theory or something (taken from the textbook) using students from Duke and UVA. Pauses in the middle of it and goes, unironically, "I don't know what UVA is." I LOLed.

Yeah, I def knew about Mich for physics. (In the days of my youth when I naively thought university-level physics wouldn't destroy my soul in the first class I took.)

I'm thinking of taking a women's study course with a specific prof (who I also have this summer), because maybe 'girl power' will be a thing and provide me with an in for a LOR. Why am I like this? (don't quote)

Couldn't hurt especially if you got an LoR out of it. Really interesting (& imo important) field. I'd def take classes in that area if I had any room and wasn't terrified of papers.
I also think it never hurts to have background in that kind of thing esp. in law. seems like a nice soft.

I'd imagine so. I unfortunately know nothing about that field (and I really ought to). I have no desire to go into upper level classes, but I'd imagine lower level ones would be both easy and interesting.

You can lurk all you want, but you don't REALLY have to freak out about next cycle like most of us. Your twins got into the best school there is, so worst case you end up at 2/3/4. With money. We are all still n00bs and haven't even taken the shitty test (and by we, I mean me.. but I know a few others).

I gave up on the news. There's no positive outcome anymore. We're past the point of no return. So why bother.
