Is it easier to get into Wharton if you're at Penn law? As a K-JD I doubt I'd have much of a shot, but being a master of the universe does sound pretty appealing...

lol debating which T14 school to go to seems a little premature when most of us don't have an LSAT score. How about less wishing and more studying

Don't think so. I read somewhere on TLS they're super strict about there not being a backdoor way into Wharton.RZ5646 wrote:Is it easier to get into Wharton if you're at Penn law? As a K-JD I doubt I'd have much of a shot, but being a master of the universe does sound pretty appealing...

Usually MBA programs require some WE, so with k-jd that might difficultRZ5646 wrote:Is it easier to get into Wharton if you're at Penn law? As a K-JD I doubt I'd have much of a shot, but being a master of the universe does sound pretty appealing...

If I don't go to law school I should look into that since they favor STEM majors. But I don't want to take any other standardized test after the LSATgamerish wrote:The best odds a KJD (or rather, a KMBA) has at getting WHS is Harvard's 2+2 program. But anyone who could get that could probably just get the proper WE for them anyway.

Yeah, they probably consider way more soft factors than law school. Meeting the LSAT+GPA requirement sounds more possible than impressing people with my average softsgamerish wrote:I'd do it but my laughably slim odds at actually landing HLS and then getting a McKinsey SA at OCI are about 1000 times better than my odds of getting into 2+2.

Oh god, a Voyager in training. If you want to do business, including consulting, it's probably wiser to hustle for a job after UG and then go to business school once you have enough experience.gamerish wrote: landing HLS and then getting a McKinsey SA

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
To me, MBB doesn't sound all that appealing... crazy hours, boring work filled with spreadsheets and powerpoints, and constant travel with lower compensation than big law, and it's almost certain that you'll only last 2 or 3 years anyway. It's just another resume line instead of a viable career path, and then you realize holy shit we're still credentialing people with these ridiculous tokens into their late 20s or even 30s instead of letting them settle in and do other things with their lives instead of striving for prestige. The system is crazy.

I thought you were already absurdly amazing on LR & RC though.gamerish wrote:I might just blow off the rest of my LG studying for the time being and move onto LR and RC and come back to LG in like a month. My LR isn't even "good" let alone anywhere close to amazing and apparently my RC has gotten worse since my diagnostic so I'm equally fucked on the front by all appearances.

We all go through our ups and downs dude. My LG slipped a bit after diagnostic, but then went up again. I'm sure you'll go back to RC gosu in no time ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ.gamerish wrote:![]()
