My writing prompt was so stupid.. Are all writing prompts the same on test day? Not that it matters anyways.

I don't think they're the same, noTheMikey wrote:My writing prompt was so stupid.. Are all writing prompts the same on test day? Not that it matters anyways.
Mine was weirdly slanted towards one side of the argument..........I was like........."Well, yeah, as you clearly explained this way is preferable thx bye"
Lol is that vague enough........

TLS consensus is that the writing section has literally no weight
Except maybe at yale but i highly doubt that too
Drawing something or writing something silly might leave a bad impression, but the quality of your essay if it actually addresses the prompt wont mean anything for admissions

Lol I felt like mine had arguments that could've worked together in a way instead of against each other.pretzeltime wrote:I don't think they're the same, noTheMikey wrote:My writing prompt was so stupid.. Are all writing prompts the same on test day? Not that it matters anyways.

The writing prompt might have been the worst essay I've ever written. I regretted choosing the option halfway through. I also structured it pretty weirdly. Hopefully schools never see it because my retake is better or my handwriting really is that bad.

I remember some important figure at UCLA said someone drew a really nice picture of a boat on their essay. I think she said that they couldn't take the applicant seriously since he didn't take this part of the test serious.forum_user wrote:I'm interested to know if the writing sample has any weight whatsoever at the top schools. God, I couldn't help myself and just took a peek in the waitlist threads over in the "Law School Admissions" forum. Ewwwwwwww. And I thought we were a neurotic bunch. I can only imagine what we'll look/sound like if we're riding waitlists until July.
In other words, we should stay here. Stay here as long as we can!

You should have seen the HLS admissions thread in late January. There were rituals.ponderingmeerkat wrote:God, I couldn't help myself and just took a peek in the waitlist threads over in the "Law School Admissions" forum. Ewwwwwwww. In the HLS co 2018 thread, 2 posters with cat avatars were admitted in a row. Everyone subsequently changed their tars to cats and spent like 10 pages making terrible cat puns. It was awful.Bearlyalive wrote:You should have seen the HLS admissions thread in late January. Scary thing is I'm certain I'm not above that. Especially when everyone else is freaking out and making freaking out appear a normal/healthy thing to do. Fully expect to resemble "Doc" Brown doing crazy calculations this time next Jan.Bearlyalive wrote:You should have seen the HLS admissions thread in late January. I don't remember if cat puns were a thing for 2019, but we definitely did cat tars based on 2018's success.R. i doubt i'll be freaking out at any further point in the process; LSAT studying was the only freak out point. I'm only applying to three schools in one city, and I know I can get into all of them. it's more a question of how much $$$ will I get.ponderingmeerkat wrote:Scary thing is I'm certain I'm not above that. Well, then there'll be Fall 1L grades, journal tryouts, OGIs, summer associate experiences, firm offers, and the bar. I fully expect this experience can extend on and on for those inclined.ugg wrote:y'all still have like a year of freaking out to do have fun

Low 170s lol... seriously, no one else has these dreams? I also have dreams where I get like 178s, which is arguably worse because I wake up and it isn't real. My subconscious just needs to chillSmallville wrote:what were u PTing at?carasrook wrote:So when will these 'omg I got a 140' nightmares stop...... bc I don't think I can deal with them every night until June 30th
