Re: June 2014 Retakers
Send me a PM, have a few words for you.Checking in. I am also a re-taker (162 in June '13, 165 in December '13). I am considering re-taking next month (I have 4 days to register) but am leaning more toward waiting a cycle and taking the June test. Using LSAT Trainer and PrepTests (and maybe going back through PS LG Bible).

Re: June 2014 Retakers
I'm using Black Ticonderoga but they don't say Dixon on it, not sure why. Does anyone know the difference without having to look it up? I really don't want to go through 40 pages of conversation about pencils lol.rebexness wrote:My Palominos are waiting until June 9. Also, does anyone use those cushion things on the pencil? My hands get sweaty when I'm PTing and I think those would help a lot.

I'll look later and copy my breakdown to here when I have it in front of me, but I know RC is my biggest problem and I do review pretty intensely.
I got the manhattan RC book yesterday and I'm liking it. Just not sure I can make that jump in time. Just so discouraged and burned out.

I was at 164 too and RC was my problem I know exactly how you feel! How many are you missing in RC? Because for me sometimes what worked was to do the 3 longest sections in 10min and then speed-read/guess on the short section (one usually has only 5/6 questions). This might be your savior if you are missing 10+ questions on RC.

Re: June 2014 Retakers
I've studied relatively little but my average PT score out of five or whatever is around the low 170s where it's traditionally been, and I'd be happy with that on the real test. If we get the right test that matches our strengths, we could score higher. If not, let's be confident that we'll meet our average.jk148706 wrote:Reviewed 67 today, will take 68 tomorrow. No matter what I really don't think I could have prepped for this June test any more than I have. I have studied lsat stuff on and off for nearly two years, so this is it. 12 days

Word I was trying to see if there are variations in tip thickness. Lol. Or might just use a new pencil for each game.rebexness wrote:My pencil needs are v different for games vs LR.

Definitely feeling discouraged. I was falling solidly in the 170 range for over a month and then suddenly I haven't broken 170 for the last 2 weeks (all 167s and 168s). I'm thinking I might have to suck up that money I gave LSAC and take in September instead since this is my 3rd retake and can't risk another screw up.
Ugh. Studying while working full-time is terrible.

I wish I had studied these last 6 months as hard as I have for the last like, 2 weeks.

I hear you on the full-time part, that is what I did as well and it wasn't fun. As far as your PT scores, what is different? Are you focusing on a different PT range? Have you been giving yourself rest? Change in PT time? Lots of variables to consider but I very much doubt its a loss of ability.NotHermione wrote:Definitely feeling discouraged. Three of my last 5 prep tests were in the 50s (55,56,58), one in the 30s and one in the 60s. Reading Comp seems to be killing me in the 50s, which has never been an issue. I generally take my weekday PTs after a full work day, which is obviously not the condition I would take the real test in, but my scores dropped from last weekend as well.Nonconsecutive wrote:I hear you on the full-time part, that is what I did as well and it wasn't fun. I took tonight off from studying and went and hung out with some friends for a much needed break. I'm going to take a late 60s PT tomorrow and I suppose go from there.
