Maybe it was a late app?
Also think CLS YPs a bit. There are some very surprising yellow dots on LSN. Not a lot, but a few.

I think you're right, especially if late+not showing much interest in app. CLS is effectively trying to bait a LOCI outta this guyAlexandros wrote:I'm wondering if late app.galeatus wrote:I was gonna say bad softs, but unless this guy'a a KJD with no WE whatsoever and no ECs I honestly don't see how a WL is possible.Alexandros wrote:RIGHT?CottonHarvest wrote:I have no words, and like our president, I usually have the best wordsAlexandros wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&start=50

Look at LSN - some very weird results.
Like I said, I think CLS YPs a bit if they think you're not likely to come. Not UVA/MIch-style YP but I think it happens.

Yeah I wrote Whys for all of my top 5 schools (but didn't write one for Penn smfh). I also kinda felt that my why CLS is more like a "Why Not NYU" and vice versaAlexandros wrote:I'm gonna try to visit CLS and NYU before apps and write Why's for both. Probably overkill, but NYC is always fun and they're (among) my top choices so wouldn't want some random YP shit to go down.galeatus wrote:I think you're right, especially if late+not showing much interest in app. 7&start=50

I wonder of there is a floor or something. I figure a 3.4/177+ is somewhat parallel to a 3.6/174 but I am biased. hell the sub 3.4s with high lsats have been getting more than 3.4/5 alike.Alexandros wrote:I BELIEVE IN U.dj9i27 wrote:.... It's interesting... this forum seems to have a lot of love for UVA from what I've seen.

Low CoL, good southern placement, and not bad with scholly if they offer immediately. plus our Shepard is going there. My number one but I don't know if I should hold my breath.oopsu812 wrote:Everyone's a Berk alum at heart.dj9i27 wrote:I wonder of there is a floor or something. My suspicion would be that 25ths have something to do with it but I think high LSATs can put you in a special situation.dj9i27 wrote:I wonder of there is a floor or something. Imo one can always negotiate.
Yes, would be amazing to return to my alma mater, UC Berkeley, with a large scholarship.

below the 25th is below the 25th imo, so long as one is at a 3.XX they are probably okay. High lsats are rare tho, which is why you see some 3.2/3s pulling 6 figures.Alexandros wrote:My suspicion would be that 25ths have something to do with it but I think high LSATs can put you in a special situation.dj9i27 wrote:I wonder of there is a floor or something. confirmed.Alexandros wrote:UVA would probably be in my top 5 but honestly think I have better odds of getting a Hamilton than a Dillard (though neither is very good). Have a few reservations about it too, which I shan't say lest the adcomms lurking these fora get the wrong impression.
But, it's a great school with excellent clerking numbers, places well in the south and DC, gorgeous area, and, most importantly, our illustrious leader is (probably) headed there.

Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
I dunno man... I guess it depends how close to medians you are GPA wise and how much one class could swing your GPA.
I graduated with so many credit hours that, even if I could do post baccs for LSAC GPA, it would take forever to raise mine. I can't see one B really hurting your UGPA that much.
