Feel pretty bad, took PT 41 today. Did well overall but I couldn't finish the LGs which hasn't happened in a long time. Oh well, back to drilling.

Frustrating thing I'm dealing with now. Couldn't get to the last 3 questions on my most recent practice. An extra 2 minutes and I would've had an extra 2 points on my score.

I positioned my heavy drilling to the exact 4 month period where I finish particular QT drilling with minimal timed the 1st month then moved into timed month 2 and 3&4 are pretty much pts.
Pt 7-41 are all drilling whereas 42+ is timed and PTs. super prep too, I need to order those.

technically it doesn't matter what you use for a diagnostic (personally I'd hold off until a month of studying) but I would use the superprep series because they have detailed explanations of right and wrong answers. veer clear of the 72-80 as you'll want those for established pts.

Good just trying to keep on it with school and everything. Going to do another 2 hrs tonight and then crush hard tomorrow sat sun. Now Im on a good schedule and routine so next week ill be able to probably get a lot more done.

I bought the PowerScore LG+LR books + 4 "10 actual lsat test" books.

The test you take for a diagnostic doesn't really matter, but I wouldn't do any of the really early tests (1-20) as the sections have changed, albeit marginally, nor would I take anything from 60-80, because you'll want to take those fresh leading up to the test. Something between 40-60 would be a good test for a diagnostic. Also, don't put too much stock in the questions/sections you get wrong on the diagnostic. I would suspect that LG will be your biggest weakness at first (as it is with most people), but eventually it will become your biggest asset (hopefully). Once you have a month or two of solid studying + drilling, then you'll really be able to identify weaknesses and start to hone your skills.

I would also see about getting your hands on the rest of the tests. It seems like overkill, but having more material to drill with is certainly valuable. The LG Bible is great material to get going on LG, so put effort into learning the basics, but don't be too dogmatic in your set-up, as some of the stuff in the LG bible is redundant/awkward. Definitely check out 7sage on youtube, its pure gold. I found the LR Bible helpful too, but it's a bit dry. I find the Manhattan LR is a great supplement to the LR Bible; between the two you should get a solid foundation.

Work on building a foundation in the first couple months and spend the months leading up to the test taking PT's and really honing your abilities. Glad we are on this journey together, let's crush this thing!

Ditto. It's frustrating to know that I'm almost certainly under-utilizing my time on week nights, since I'm no where near mentally fresh. I have a 10-12 minute commute to work (it's a blessing and a curse), so I'm usually off work and at the library within 30 minutes. Going from reading "work emails" where everything is reduced to its most basic and blunt point, to reading dense LSAT passages is brutal.

That said, I'm becoming a regular with my local barista

it takes me about the same time but I do walk to work, which is nice when it doesn't rain in the afternoon :/ i need my me time after work for 2 hours, go get blood going and me feeling mentally fresh. the days I go straight to studying I'm on autopilot. I think so long as you are consistently doing something, you make progress.

Pure Sequencing is by far the easiest LG type I've encountered so far. Hardest was definitely the Grouping/Linear Combo games I did last week. Went -0 on them but took like 20 minutes per game. I've heard that speed is the last thing to come in terms of LG improvement - I'd better have heard right...
