Hey guys I have two questions from PT 29 that I would like some help on. I couldn't find an answer doing a search.
Section 1, question 12: I chose A but it's D. Confused!

Section 1, question 22: I chose C but it's D. Doesn't make sense to me.

I'd greatly appreciate the help!

I'm kind of scared to watch it...

I keep getting -0 on 3 out of 4 passages and then -ALL on one. I either get it perfectly or I get it all wrong. *sigh*

How are you all reviewing rc sections after practice tests? I've sort of gotten stuck within the -2 to -4 range, and would like to improve a little and hopefully eliminate those occasions where a section trips me up and I end up w/ -5,-6 or worse. I'm just not really sure how best to review a section and learn from it in a way that will help me on future rc sections.

Everyone! Come and see how good i look!!!

I took PT 38 tonight, strictly timed, annoying coffee shop full of crazies and here is how it fell

LR -0 (my first!)
LG-1
RC-2
LR-1

Raw 97/ SCALED 179!!!!
to everyone saying "hey, you just scored a 169 last night...this must be an anomalie" STFU! This is the best day of my life.
to everyone saying "Congratulations, you're a brilliant, HYS law school student"...it was probably an anomalie. regardless, I have a sudden and swift surge of adrenaline.
my only differences in studying were doing lots of LG sections today and some random LR sections timed. also i'm still following the SOS method...although not tonight!

(p.s. sorry for the bragging, it's been a long battle trying to get back in the 170's)

Well, by shape up I meant reorganize the way I was doing prep tests, focus a bit more on section work and when I take PTs, pretend it's the real thing, mimic it better, take them all away from home and make every one of them count, etc. So in a way less intensive as I'm dropping down how many I do a week since I need to make a trek out to my uni for it, but more... productive, I think.

Just had a 12 hour work day. I hope these aren't common cause I definitely do NOT want to study right now.

Edit: Awesome job, lastch!

Got a -2 on an RC section today :D Felt pretty damn great. Although probably not as good as lastch2's 179 lol. Congrats on that :)

What is 'burn-out'? Is it losing the desire to continue studying or is it just exhaustion?

For the people who finished LRB, did you guys see a noticeable jump in your LR performance? I am not sure if I should be underlining/marking conclusions, premises, counter-premises and stuff like that while I read the stimulus.

Burn out is a pretty ambiguous term. Probably something akin to 'mental exhaustion.' It really depends on YOU. For me, I know I'm burning out when I look at a question, but I'm just not comprehending it. It's like there's a block. So I know I need to step away for that day. Forcing it would just be a waste of material.

Yeah, a combo of the LGB + LRB jumped me from mid 160's to low to mid 170's regularly. Granted, that may have been simply from me becoming more familiar with the test as I went on (did more prep tests after LGB/LRB than before... maybe 3? before + section work).

And I won't burn out I'll just burn up.

I'm curious is timing ever a non issue ???
I mean, does it ever come to a point where you'd get the same score if you did the test timed vs. un timed, not counting people who score 180s??

I just can't figure out why the difference in my scores of timed vs. un timed is so huge...-3 -4 -5 untimed and -10 -11 - 13 timed...
I think I stop reading carefully in my panic..I do get to all the questions but barely when I time myself and the sad part is I don't even realize that I'm not being careful, I think I'm doing well...

1. PT40 was a 167 for me last night. LR: -1, -4 LG: -3 and RC:-6 That's my highest yet--timed. I'm still waiting for that magic moment when I break into the 170s.

2. Does anyone need PT53? I accidentally bought two copies, and I'd be glad to mail it to anyone who needs it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
