I'm in for October, yet I'm posting to let you all know that I'm organizing a Settlers of Catan Online tournament for TLS'ers. If you're interested in playing, reply in the thread in the Lounge.

It actually might be some progress. Unless you're like me, remembering a problem means remembering everything about the question and not just a familiarity.

Haha, very likely, even going through a few sample questions in class I remember some answers right away, but I'm trying as much as possible to block those thoughts out and solve it in a mechanistic way.

Just checking in! This will be my first time. I'm only doing self-study because I can't afford a prep course. I scored 153 on a cold timed diagnostic and I'm trying to study like crazy to hopefully improve my score to 170+. Aim high, right?

Much like my UG career, I feel that I grasp concepts and understand material better while studying very late at night. I think I might start studying this late more often.

Starting to notice how a lot of games' questions can be done without drawing up a hypo and just by combining rules in the head. Think that will save me a lot of time as I get better at it.

First PT in two weeks for me tomorrow, though. After (what felt like) two really productive--though mostly LR centered--drilling weeks. So we'll see what happens.

Well, my own self assessment was pretty right.

PT 56 (only 4 parts)
LG = -7 (missed 4 out of 7 on the last game, because I literally couldn't figure out how to set that up. It was that bastard game with those bastard trees in the park. I've seen people complain about this game before. Hopefully JY can show me how to not be an idiot with it.)
LR1 = -1
LR2 = -1
RC = -2

170.

I'm again realizing that if I can only not suck at LG I'll be in the gravy.

I've been in Jersey all weekend visiting a friend and going to a party so I did NO work this weekend. Now that I'm home and thoroughly still annoyed that I have to study for this test again, I think I'm going to start drilling logic games. At least all of my letters of recommendation were sent to LSAC.
