Re: June 2014 Retakers
What is the lowest score y'all will take without retaking. It his is my final take, but i would say 173. Anything lower than that and I would retake (if I could)

Drilling Principle and Paradox questions today because I got a total of 3 of each wrong in the last 2 PTs I took. Any suggestions on these?

Re: June 2014 Retakers
175 is the lowest I would take, and that's actually debatable. My feeling right now is that I'd retake sub-176, but I imagine in the event that I actually got a 175 I wouldn't feel enough pressure to study adequately for a later test.jk148706 wrote:What is the lowest score y'all will take without retaking. Took another PT today and got a 178, but I'm making stupid mistakes. I'm missing/mis-reading silly LR questions. I have to think this is a result of losing my confidence after my last performance on a PT. I catch myself second-guessing where I wouldn't before. Does anyone have any recommendations for regaining that confidence?

This is my third take so obviously I’ll take whatever I can get. Would be thrilled with a 170+ though

I would say 173. But I am not close to the goal yet. seriously considering postpone. I heard somewhere if I call the night before to cancel, that won't count as one take?jk148706 wrote:What is the lowest score y'all will take without retaking. Don't be. I got most of them right when I reviewed. Just being sloppy.
RC esp final two passages was bad news bears.

Speaking of blind reviewing, it is the absolute worst feeling when I miss extra questions during BR. Happened to me on PT 70

Re: June 2014 Retakers
I asked this on the other June thread but it may be more relevant to you retakers:
Looking over my chart of PT scores and individual section scores. Also averaging my tests this year versus last.
I know the answer to this question is probably the answer to most questions ("It depends") but what do you guys consider a reasonable point-increase from one LSAT to the next?
Obviously, we have JK in this thread who improved a whole 10 points -- but I don't think that's typical.
I scored 161 last year. I am reaaaaaaaaaaally hoping to get 167+. Hoping for, like, 175 would be silly.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you mean what is a reasonable increase to expect? That would depend on a lot of things. But if you're capable of a 161 you are definitely capable of a 167+. Just stay positive and keep studying!leigh912198972 wrote: what do you guys consider a reasonable point-increase from one LSAT to the next?

Re: June 2014 Retakers
I was working on level 4 Principle (ID) questions from the Cambridge packets this morning. Not gonna lie, at least like 2 questions brought me back to that feeling I used to get in 8th grade ESOL English class where I'd read a few sentences and afterwards have no idea how any of them were related. (PT 30, S2, Q19 for example)

It's not a reoccurring thing, it just happened to this particular question lol. How's studying going with you?Learn_Live_Hope wrote:Awwww so sorry to hear thatdasani13 wrote:I was working on level 4 Principle (ID) questions from the Cambridge packets this morning. Do you have this type of issue with both principle type questions, or just the Id one?

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Just had one of the best LSAT days I've had in a while!!!
Took PT 64 with 2 experimental sections from PT 65 (I usually take 4-section PTs and wanted to ensure that I had the stamina for test day)
LR1: -1
LG: -0
LR2: -0
RC:-3
EXP LR: -0
EXP LG: -0
Raw 97
Scales 178
RC felt really hard to me so I am shocked that I only missed three questions. I also wasn't able to finish the RC section and spent an extra 8 minutes on it and didn't count it against me in my score so it would have probably been closer to low 170s if strictly timed. At this point, I am definitely going to concentrate my few remaining drilling days on RC, mostly ignoring LR but still sprinkling in at least one LG a day so I don't slow down.
I took yesterday off and it felt great! I can't stress enough how much we all need a break in order to rejuvenate our minds.

So really you missed an entire passage of RC, at least.

Is it too late to be drilling? Should we be just PTing and reviewing from now on?
