I went -4 on RC which is unusually bad for me based on my PTs. Now that ya'll have your scores what does everybody think? Did I just shit the bed or was it hard?

Can't decide if I should send apps with this score and retake in December or February. I'm guessing December would be better, but the time :'[

Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
Thank you, that's very sweet, but, there is unfortunately close to no chance that I will be retaking. I can't study for the test and complete my applications and work full time. It's just not going to happen.smccgrey wrote:Sfogs will rock her retake, I'm sure of it. I just won't have the time to study for a retake unless I quit my job, so I think I'm just applying.... MAYBE taking it again for $$ later in the cycle.schmelling wrote:Sfog and Grey, I am so so sorry to hear about this. If you scored below your averages then 100000% retake. I know it sucks but you owe it to yourself. you prepped so hard and you earned those missing points- so claim them, even if its a couple months later than expected.
So, I don't know. Maybe need to put the law school dream on hold for another year.

You know yourself and your capabilities. It's not good timing, no; it's near impossible enough to study when you work full time, let alone in a crunch like this, during holiday season.smccgrey wrote:I can't really see a retake going much better than this test, realistically. In terms of testing conditions and whatnot, it was fine. And it's not like I'm going to be able to study more this time around - less, if anything.ErgoSum wrote:Can't decide if I should send apps with this score and retake in December or February. I'm in the same boat. Right now I'm leaning toward sending in my apps right now with a 3.7/166, hoping for waitlists at the lower T-14, and retaking in February with some acceptances already under my belt, so there will be less pressure.ErgoSum wrote:Can't decide if I should send apps with this score and retake in December or February. Thank you Schmel. Xoxo. Don't hesitate to email me if you need! I should have some extra time on my hands.schmelling wrote:You guys don't need the same amount of study time as you took the first time around, its not like you're starting from baseline, youve still made gains, simply having one take under your belt might help considerably.
sfog- I hope you don't need to take a year, but you should, you have some sick goals worth pursuing properly. (Also, I didn't have comp access all weekend so I'm just getting to your notes now, thanks for taking the time.)

Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
Sfoglia and SMC,
I'm really to hear this guys... I wasn't a constant poster - and I elected to not even take this test and prob sit out a cycle or two - but I know how hard you two worked. (This applies to everyone who did worse then expected or didn't meet their goals)
I know it's super hard for you guys to contemplate retaking and sitting out a cycle, but you guys HAVE the skills, you got blindsided by a wayward test, but that's NOT gonna happen again. It would be a shame to waste all your time and effort by settling.
You def won't need as much time to prepare this time around, and I'm confident that you'll take this test and kill it.
In the mean time, drown your sorrows with beer.... beer is good.
anyone want to message me to rant and rave about their scores they're welcome to do so =)

When my mom asked me how I did on the LSAT I said, "Mom, I failed the LSAT." Her reply was, "I thought you were magna cum laude?"
