Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
Longtime lurker/reader here. Started studying for this test two years ago, off and on. Got a monumentally disappointing 166 in June, and a 172 this time. I won't ever read another LSAT question again. Thanks to this board for providing all the random support to a non-posting scumbag like me, and everyone who didn't do as well as they liked, keep at it. You can do it.

OMG I feel for you. I really feel for you.Economics Bro wrote:Pretty frustrating - was scoring 177's consistently before the June test, attributed my 168 to the crazy logic game at the end there. I took it again, was scoring in the 177-180 range consistently and got a 169.

So when do we start studying? It's going to suck now for the next two weeks, trying to finalise the apps and study at the same time and all.

how come so many top scorers 171+ never post or even lurk here and still kill the test without ever feeling the need to lurk or being confused by lsat questions? A very small minority of top scorers are regulars on any forum.

I'm gonna work on a PT schedule tonight and start studying around Thursday. But yeahhh, another reason to put off writing my PS for a while.ErgoSum wrote:So when do we start studying? It's going to suck now for the next two weeks, trying to finalise the apps and study at the same time and all.

Cause while we shitpoast here they're reviewing lol. Same reason most of the 4.0's aren't in bars on the weekends.appind wrote:congrats.DuncND2013 wrote:Longtime lurker/reader here. Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
aren't they confused by many of the tricky lsat questions and feel the need to discuss with others? I hardly know irl anyone besides myself prepping for the test and assume that would be the case with a large number of such top scorers too.PeanutsNJam wrote:Cause while we shitpoast here they're reviewing lol. I was in a steaming hot room so dehydrated that I had a headache by section four, but thought I pushed passed it. Apparently not.
Is anyone else thinking of waiting it out for next cycle? I don't trust that I'll score well in December enough.

Dont think that's true. Most of the people who are unhappy with their scores were scoring pretty high in their PT's, so it's not like frequent posters are dunces.PeanutsNJam wrote:Cause while we shitpoast here they're reviewing lol. More like showing off your LSAT score is a great reason to come out of the woodwork

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Not even a contender for T14.smccgrey wrote:sfogs <3
I honestly am just in disbelief. I don't understand how I could have scored so low. I haven't scored this low SINCE JULY.

Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
Well I thought I would join in on the misery.
153 for 9 points lower than my pt average. One section I really had to pee and the other where the girl was cheating. But I don't even know if these were what caused me to go from missing like 24 questions to missing 45....
Can't get into lsac to find out.
I put an unhealthy amount of pressure on myself for this test so I'm gonna take a more relaxed approach for December. If that doesn't work I'll wait another year for my third try and then reevaluate my life from there. Yikes.

One reason I'd give against waiting out the cycle is that it's easy to get yourself super worked up again if you take them too far apart. I think there's an advantage to taking one quite soon after another.sfoglia wrote:Bad luck?PeanutsNJam wrote:grey you're gonna retake?

Obvs don't know your situation, but I kind of wish I'd gone ahead and retaken in December or February. I was soo much more nervous this time round!

Long-time lurker again. After almost taking the June 2014 test, I decided to sit it out and take September. I ended up with a 170 (-6 LR, -4 RC, and -2 LG) and I'm super happy! Congratulations to everyone who did well! Ya'll deserve it!
