Nah jk if you go to LSAT Status you'll see five or six icons that look like files with green arrows in them. Those files will get grey crosses through them on grey day and pretty soon after that everyone will get their scores.

Does LSAC email you as soon as they release your score? Or is here a bit of a delay until they email you?Smallville wrote:Kangaroo_Court wrote:What exactly is turning grey on grey day? I went onto the LSAC website and don't see anything green

Yeah, they email virtually right away. I guess they might put your score on the site literally seconds before they email.TheMikey wrote: Does LSAC email you as soon as they release your score? Or is here a bit of a delay until they email you?

Once those icons go grey, LSAC periodically releases scores via email in the next 2-3 hours. In October I had to wait an hour, but for December I got my score with the first batch of emails.TheMikey wrote:Does LSAC email you as soon as they release your score? Once the scores are released, how long until the test is available to review and study?
If I have to take in Sep., what are some tips yoi guys have for people who have exhausted most of their materials? I have maybe 3 tests left from the 60s and that's it. I also have not done the Prep Test A, B, or C that LSAC specifically releases, but that's it.
I didn't know what would be best in a 2 month period? I'm thinking I'd like to save a couple of those fresh tests towards the end and closer to the Sep. test date so I can get a "reliable" fresh score.

on day scores go grey, waves of emails/score release can start at any point once they go grey (score is put up b4 email but not by a whole lot, people just like to neurotically refresh LSAC to get their score ASAP.pretzeltime wrote:couple of hours I believe.TheMikey wrote:Thanks guys! if icons go grey at noon, you may still end up waiting till 8pm to get ur scores, you'll just have them within that day (though I think people have had to wait overnight, but not sure) but for the most part it shouldnt take too long after

In terms of your retake (if necessary), take time off until scores are released. Don't touch anything LSAT related. Try not to think about it. Even after scores are released, take a few days to just chill out.
Then, after say Independence Day, I'd get back on it. Two PTs per week would put you at a little more than 20 before the September test. That's more than plenty. Start around PT55 and go back and forth between old and new. So like 57, 68, 73, 60, 65, 58, 77, etc. Blind review becomes the most critical part of your study this time around. Honestly, I'd recommend not even scoring your test after you take it (this is so hard for me to do and I can't say I ever actually followed this advice, but I wish I had). After you PT, take the rest of the day off. The next day, BR BR BR. I'd even stretch this out over a period of two days so you don't have to rush through it--can't stress enough how important this is. But, unlike how I see a lot of people BRing, you have to essentially take the test again untimed--don't just focus on what you got wrong or weren't sure of, focus on everything. Do every question/game/passage again, figure out why each and every AC is correct or incorrect. If you're feeling unsure about a question, come back to it the next day. Only after you've thoroughly BRed should you score your test, and you should only use this as a loose gauge of your progress. The only score that matters is the one you get on test day. You can do a section here and there if you feel like it, but really PTs/BR are the most important thing--and don't underestimate the importance of rest and approaching your retake as a marathon, not a sprint. Quality over quantity. So your schedule should look like this:
Day 1 PT
Day 2 BR 2-3 sections
Day 3 BR remaining sections
Day 4 rest/section practice
Day 5 PT
Day 6 BR
Day 7 BR
I'd also say this is what it should be at the absolute most intense. Allow at least three days between your PTs, and if you even want to do one per week I'd say that's okay too.
Sorry if this is overly pedantic but this is how I tried to approach (read: should have approached) my retake, and I absolutely think it's the right move.
