Re: December 2010 Initial Reactions
Our proctor forgot to give us the 5 minute warning on the first section, which was a LR for me. I was really hoping it was the experimental LR, because that messed me up. Except, now I'm pretty sure it wasn't. I hate my life.

finished the second LR with about 20 seconds to spare, but don't think I did that much worse on it. didn't think the first LR was that bad.Moral_Midgetry wrote:I thought the first LR section was above average difficulty but the last one was much easier. I finished it with ten minutes to spare.

Yeah, but it sounds like the 2 real LR's had 26 questions each.

ok, I would like some clarity on what constitutes borderline...I thought we could say what a question was "about" as in "windmill question" or "shakespeare question" etc.
Just trying to make sure so I don't make any mistakes

Also borderline.jd20132013 wrote:I remember only one alien LR, but I agree that it was tough. The answer I picked first was a trick answer, but something didn't feel right and I was able to switch to what I think is conclusively the right one

Not sure, lol. I had too many LRs to remember. Might have been expreptar320 wrote:Was that the real LR?LawPlz wrote:Yesreptar320 wrote:Hey does anyone remember a question on LR dealing with stone windmills vs. wooden windmills in Medevil Europe and England?

Re: December 2010 Initial Reactions
I had LR(26) RC LR(25) LR(26) LG.
I'm 90% sure that the first one was experimental, since experimental comes before the break, and if the first one was not axed, then the test would have 102 questions...more than an LSAT does.
So...yeah.
I found RC and the real LR's to be pretty easy, but LG was a nightmare. And the experimental LR was inhumanly difficult.

I don't think so, but can't be sure. (did not have exp LR)reptar320 wrote:Was that the real LR?LawPlz wrote:Yesreptar320 wrote:Hey does anyone remember a question on LR dealing with stone windmills vs. wooden windmills in Medevil Europe and England?

Re: December 2010 Initial Reactions
I did well on the LR sections, both RC sections (still don't know which RC section was experimental?), and froze on the AR. Oh, and I wrote one hell of an essay, though I think it was pointless.2things2 wrote:did stellar on both LRs and LG, absolutely bombed the RC, apart from the medical experts passage. Literally I don't know what happened but I had no idea what was going on in the RC. A horrible feeling of helplessness. Brutal way to start the exam, but I guess I just have to stick with it. What can ya do?

Re: December 2010 Initial Reactions
LR: Normal. I usually do about -3. I had an experimental LR, but I do not know which one it was. It doesn't matter, because I think I went -3 to -4 on both of the first two, neither being harder than the other. I'm hoping for -1 to -2 on the last LR.
RC: Normal. I always struggle with RC, usually going -4 or so. I am estimating I did about the same today.
LG: Both time consuming and hard. I usually go -1 or so on games, most often due to misreading a question. Two of the games were not that bad, but I may have missed one or two and I had to guess on one due to lack of time. One game I found time consuming, but not that difficult. I did miss a rule for the first few questions, and I only had time to check one, so I could have missed two to three here. The fourth game (not in that order, but I cannot be more specific due to the rules) was very hard, and I simply could not get the setup. I think I got the first question right, but had to guess on four or five due to time constraints. I am estimating a -9 here for myself.
Overall, this test was harder than normal. I usually score around 170 on PTs, as high as 176, and made 172 on my last one Thursday. My raw score averages around 89. I am predicting a raw score of 81-83, which is significantly lower than my average. I am praying for a -13 curve (-14 is statistically unlikely, let's face it, -13 is the most we can hope for) and a 165-166 score so I can get into UGA.

What's funny is that I remembered all the rules/passage from the Glass game, and without giving anything away, I just made the deduction to practically make it a cakewalk. I did not do this during the test. I want to puke.

I thought that the LSAT was always 100 or 101 questions... What is the proof that the 25 question LR was the experimental?LawPlz wrote:Apparently the test was out of 102ccmbr006 wrote:I had LR(26) RC LR(25) LR(26) LG.

Re: December 2010 Initial Reactions
Same here. I had to skip LG #3, but I'm pretty sure I was almost perfect on the others. I think you're right on LR#1 being experimental. LG #2 took a while, but it also had a pretty high number of questions, so it was worth it. #1 and #4 were cake walks.ccmbr006 wrote:I had LR(26) RC LR(25) LR(26) LG.

RC (real) LR RC (exp.) LG LR. 102 questions on mine. Both RC 27 qs. Interesting, I noticed the exp. section thread linked up above had some of the same LR questions as on this test.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
