Re: Dive-bombing for Judges, September 2017 Waiter's Thread
has anyone been studying since they have the feeling they bombed?
I have and I got a 173 on PT78 today (retake) and it's sad that I am 99% sure I will get no where near that from the sept test

Same. At least we'll know our scores and what schools we have a realistic shot at. Right now it's all up in the air.mmart207 wrote:I personally feel like waiting for the score is worse than waiting for decisionsMikey wrote:it ain't that bad, imoKiskeya wrote:Did we have to wait this long for the SATs??? I can't remember but this wait is just cruel
it sucks for sure, but I feel like it's nothing compared to having to wait for all the decisions from schools we will apply to

It's actually a trick question. The LSAT gods only want alcohol sacrifices, but they know that without alcohol, we'd all die from the anxiety of waiting.King of the North wrote:Ugh, no, please don't tell me it had to be a goat. What I really want to see is this curve, which will be -11 or larger.
I am offering substantial sacrifices to the LSAT gods this weekend in hopes this will be true.
WHY LSAT! WHY!

I've managed to more or less forget about the September LSAT until the past few days... I'm starting to get anxious now.
Really bummed that I paid $180 and studied for months to retake the LSAT and probably scored lower than I did the first time.

Ya, I have, but really just doing drills rather than sitting down for a full 5-section PT bc I'm trying to love myself. Got a 179 on "PT 23". Heart's breaking that it's more likely I got 10-15 points below that in September.Mikey wrote:has anyone been studying since they have the feeling they bombed?

Any chance that scores drop this weekend? Or do they only drop on weekdays?

In theory, it is possible. I think it's really highly unlikely though.mmart207 wrote:Any chance that scores drop this weekend? Or do they only drop on weekdays?
My guess would be Tuesday at the earliest, but probably Wednesday or Thursday.

i'm not busy at work in october so i've just been doing them for fun (kill me) and figure it'll be useful if i do end up retaking in december. have not gotten lower than a 180 but naturally def didn't pull that off in septemberMikey wrote:has anyone been studying since they have the feeling they bombed?

isn't this test just so weird. after I bombed June and started studying for Sept I also got 173 on my first PT after a month not even looked at anything LSAT, I just thought if my real score were 173 I probably gonna send everyone I know a bottle of champagneMikey wrote:has anyone been studying since they have the feeling they bombed?

My final LOR came through yesterday. I have one more Why X to polish off. Once I do that, it's pure waiting for my LSAT score.

same, all my recs are in as of yesterday. have yet to do a single Why X essay or my personal statement, planning to get it all done before score release but I'd feel silly for rushing it if I end up retaking in December, so we'll seewmbuff wrote:My final LOR came through yesterday. I just got back to Colorado from a wedding in Minnesota. It was hot and humid in Minnesota, but cold fall weather here in CO. We're supposed to get snow on Monday. I guess we're skipping fall.ilpsm wrote:i know! been waiting forever to start wearing sweaters and vests and shit to work. still no cold weather on the horizon for at least a week, ughMikey wrote:y is it so fucking hot in NYC

I've been really nervous, but I've come to the conclusion that I feel better about my performance in every single section than I did in June. So, I'm expecting pleasant news in less than a week.

Re: Dive-bombing for Judges, September 2017 Waiter's Thread
Anybody drink anything interesting this weekend? I went to a beer tasting and a Scotch tasting, but didn't take any notes. The only important detail I recall was that I got to try my second Campbelltown single malt.
I also heard a great lecture on translating science fiction (from an author and translator who has both won a Hugo for his fiction and translated a work that went on to win the Hugo, Ken Liu - he also happens to have a JD from HLS). I couldn't help but think a condensed version would make for a really interesting RC passage.

For a waiter's thread at the beginning of grey week this one is pretty dead...

I feel like if I don't find out tomorrow I may have a heart attack. But, honestly, that may just be the 6 cups of coffee, soda, and large iced coffee I've had since ten today.jthel08 wrote:What are the predictions for the day we go Grey?!?!?!
