My job is a fellowship that includes a one month vacation between grant years. That said, I hadn't seen my family in over a year so I am taking a week off to dedicate exclusively to my family.joon wrote:I'm also curious. I work 8-5 and only recently started getting into a serious routine. Summer is going by too quick.joeycxxxx09 wrote:For those of you with an internship full time 8-5 how are you guys taking practice tests? I already took in June but am finding it hard to study with working 45 hours a week.
For those who are studying all day, are you taking time off or you are on UG summer?

Anyone else worried about the test being in the morning? People agonize over a lot of stupid shit here on TLS, but I feel like time might actually be an important factor.

I'm guessing im in the minority of favoring the AM start time. I absolutely hated the PM start time for June.RZ5646 wrote:Anyone else worried about the test being in the morning? People agonize over a lot of stupid shit here on TLS, but I feel like time might actually be an important factor.

I'm with ya--morning start times make me feel like i can be energized and just get it over with. Having it later in the day just makes me feel like so much more could go wrong hahahanlee10 wrote:I'm guessing im in the minority of favoring the AM start time. Good to know I made the right choice then!GnosisExchange wrote:Sera Numquam wrote:SirArthurDayne wrote:Thanks for the input! Good thing I got Manhattan's RC then!Sera Numquam wrote:All I remember from their earlier books was a discussion of how the LSAT goes out of their way to affirm underrepresented groups ( NAs, AAs, ect) and why you should keep this in mind when reading passages. There was also quite a bit of focus on notation, but I didn't like the symbols they used. Ultimately it didnt focus enough on the important aspects of RC, such as reasoning structure and understanding the different points represented and how they relate to one another, and this became apparent only after I read Manhattan's RC, and even more so when I got the Trainer. For me personally the Trainer was great!SirArthurDayne wrote:Unless they changed their method, PS never really had a strategy for RC in their older booksSera Numquam wrote:Does anybody here think the RC Bible by Powerscore is more useful then Manhattan Prep's RC book? I just got the 4th edition from my library and I've heard great things about it. I would prefer not to spend more money on another prep book when I've already purchased the other two bibles, prep tests, Cambridge packets, etc. Does anyone think purchasing the RC Bible is worth it despite having the Manhattan RC book?
What did they include before?
I just started the Manhattan guide and I already like it much more than the PS RC bible. Manhattan has better explanations of the concepts upon which the RC sections are designed. PS was mostly advice on methods of annotation. Though their annotation style could be very useful, for me it was too rigid. I love the other bibles, but RC is definetly the weakest in the series.

I don't do mornings so I'm very concerned about the 8 am test time. I avoided 8 ams all throughout college for a reason.gamerish wrote:Very. My natural sleep schedule is like 4am to noon. I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do with an 8:00 am test time.
I'm gonna be getting up earlier as we get closer to the test date but I still don't think I'll be at 100% and I've had bad results caffeinating right before a PT.

Checking in! I'm a retaker so it's been hard to motivate myself to go through the whole process again. I also work full time so setting time aside to study during the week is something I'm really having to work on.

I prefer the morning start to the afternoon start, but I'm always up early and do a large majority of my prep in the morning.
