YES!! I remember when a whole bunch of reviews said You've got mail basically sucked and was unoriginal, and I was like whatever! Now, that movie really brings back good memories for whatever reason... probably at least in part, bc it was the first time I had ever heard of Pride and Prejudice and that became one of my favorite books of all time.

For the first part of your statement, You should be deported. As for the second part- I actually have nothing against chicago deep dish as a food. I just have trouble categorizing it as pizza.

Well if the competition isn't even considered pizza, then NY PIZZA IS AWESOME!

I'm not referring to the style, but rather to quality. Walk into just about any pizza place in NY and you can get at least a decent slice. One you're 2 hours out of the city you have to go searching for it and sometimes it just doesn't exist.

I can't wait to make it to NYC one day! Wanna try the food, see the sights, the shows, and everything else! One Day!

idk what to do with my life. I'm basically gonna go to SMU, so I'm done with that. Classes don't matter besides passing so I can get my degree (they're throwaway classes so I'll probably get a 4.0). I'm torn on whether I should get a job, travel a little bit, just chill and drink, or what.

Whatever job you get would be pretty BS since you're leaving in 6 months but it could be good for some extra spending money.

I would personally choose to travel if possible
Even if its a cheap road trip to see different parts of the country

Could you pick up a restaurant job? Retail would suck but it would be easy to get.
Maybe do something temporary like help with filing taxes. I bet a lot of places are looking for seasonal people to do that.

I was thinking on restaurants. But none get very busy in this town I live in except Saturday nights. I'll probably go to the mall in town and apply to about 5 places although they may be a bit reluctant to give someone a job knowing they're leaving in may

The good thing ab waiting tables is that if there is a busy day, you can make enough to offset the other days...sucks to be somewhere it's not to busy, but if you do look more into it, consider bar-backing get you some skillz that can always come in handy later on...around here, depending on the restaurant ppl make $100-250/night in tips, but it's all location and busyness of the restaurant...are there any nearby cities you can work in?

eta: Also, most restaurants are required to pay you minimum wage if your tips don't equal out to at least that much by the end of the week

Just had a bunch of people ask me how I did on the LSAT today.

"Did you pass?"

This is my fav question to try not to laugh at when people ask me...lol

I just smile and nod. It's better than actually trying to explain why LSAT scores matter so much.

Some family ask me about my studying. It's always the same discussion, leading to a recounting of how my aunt once took the LSAT (pre-90s), and didn't have to study all that much. There's this resistance to remembering that we've had this conversation a few (dozen) times.

I think it's a mixed bag really, bc if you think ab it, if they can go and get it done and be done by the time they're 25-28, more power to them (esp if they did it for free w scholly)...but this completely hinges on the idea that they don't go to work straight away and at least take a one year break at some point. If they don't take at least a one year break to travel, enjoy life, work a little, then I feel ya.
