Anything high in protein and fat should keep you full. I do 4 eggs and cabbage roasted in olive oil nearly every morning and I'm full until noon or 1 mostly.Quippy wrote:On a slightly related note, does anyone else get absurdly hungry during PTs? No matter what/when/how much I eat, I start getting hungry about 20 minutes in and it's all I can think about. Does anyone with this problem have snack suggestions?

Similar diet! But I don't understand PB oatmeal.... how do you even combine the two?peppermint wrote: I do something similar - I eat peanut butter oatmeal for breakfast on my PT days. Keeps me pretty full during the test. And then a handful of cashews and a banana at break.

I do this too! Or if I have extra time I make oatmeal pancakes and then put peanut butter on top.peppermint wrote:Haha, yeah it sounds weird but it's easy to make. I just make oatmeal like normal and then stir in some peanut butter at the endmsp8 wrote:Similar diet! I just took 15 minutes to do a game I've seen before, and I went -2.
I can't understand how I'm so wildly inconsistent where some days I'm great at this and other days I might as well just start applying for fast food jobs.

That sounds awful... I dunno, I like the texture of some rough organic peanut butter. I think it'd all be lost in soggy oatmeal. I'll maybe give it a try though.peppermint wrote: Haha, yeah it sounds weird but it's easy to make. Wait. Jackel. This is me. <3JackelJ wrote:Agreed. Except I do just peanut butter since I'm not a fan of jelly. Sometimes Nutella is added.Shakawkaw wrote:Try eating a PB&J. I do the same thing except I add a banana and a little honey. So good!peppermint wrote: Another suggestion is cashews. Anything along those lines of some protein + fats will be good and satiating.

That sounds good. I cannot remember for sure, but I think last time I prepped, I used to eat [homophobic language redacted] 0%, a toast and a banana before PTs, and two bananas for break during PTs. I need to look into oats and peanut mix stuff.peppermint wrote:Haha, yeah it sounds weird but it's easy to make. Ran 5 miles earlier. No endorphin kick, just plain tiredness. I wish there was an alternate way to health.

TLS fitness experts: What are your thoughts and experiences regarding body recomposition, lean gains, etc.? Can you beat traditional bulk/cut cycles while staying natural?

I recomped my first 6 months of lifting when I lost 50 lbs because I was a complete noob. Lean gains works but it's a very slow process, and you have to be precise about your many calories/macros (if natty)nlee10 wrote:Define "natural" haha.RZ5646 wrote:TLS fitness experts: What are your thoughts and experiences regarding body recomposition, lean gains, etc.? Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
To lazy to go back and actually quote everything, but...
1) Can't wait to try some of these peanut butter recipes. I eat a PB&(Jam, lets be real. jelly sucks) every day and never get tired of it. Not even a little bit. Also, toasting the bread beforehand combined with creamy Skippy... 180. However, a nice tall glass of milk to wash it down is a necessary condition. Or else thats some TTT shit.
2) On lean gains: Depends where you are already. If you're naturally skinny and never really worked out before, I would stick with some very basic, high rep lifting mixed with cardio. You will be surprised at the weight you gain (its sort of like a 150 diagnostic. You'll make big gains early on, maybe get up to 170 in a month or two, but after that each point additional point is gonna be more of a struggle to get). If you've got experience working out, my favorite "go lean" workouts are circuit workouts. They're great because if you do it right your doing cardio while your lifting. They get intense as hell too. I was lift/cardio every other day with circuit workouts for a while and loved it. Granted, I was trying to cut weight, but I was cutting calories so that wasn't a product of the workout, more my food intake. But yeah, gamer's right. It's gotta be gradual. My cutting was about 8 pounds in 6 months. Same if your trying to go up.
3) On lighter note, this morning I forgot to duck and hit my head (not really hard at all, TBH) on a doorframe. First thought? Oh crap, concussion, my ability to do logic games will never recover. Think this test may be slowly driving me insane...

Experimenting with exercise before drilling today to see if it improves or diminishes performance on questions. Doing a kettlebell circuit and then running 4-6 miles. I will be doing some LR (Method of Reasoning, Argument Part, and Parallel Method) and around 6-8 games after.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
