There's a version called the Perfect Score Watch that was recommended to me by a girl I met at the test.dj9i27 wrote:i don't think he sells them anymoreInstrumental wrote:I found that the mastermind LSAT watch helped immensely with my timing. Thinking about purchasing one of those LSAT watches - anyone have experience with this and can testify to how much it helped them?

this test better not be computerized, I'll postpone to September just to prepare my brains.

Does anyone know if I can use the same photo as last time to register for the lsat. Or do I need a new one?

Ok, so right now I am averaging -4/-5 per LR section. There's no common theme other than that these are just difficult questions. What do you guys think will be the best way to start improving?
-Drill (timed/untimed) random types of LR questions of high difficulty
-Timed full LR sections with review
-Untimed full LR sections with review
-Or something else?

I just want this over with in one sitting. If I get a 167+, I won't retake. I will apply to every school that opens up on Sept 1st and let the Law School Random Admissions Generator work it's magic.

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
So I've taken some time off from reading the forum because I could literally spend all day just reading random threads...
Anyway, I took Mikey and Walli's advice about RC and stopped trying to memorize everything. Man, it is so much better.
My main problem area with RC is now just reading the passage critically and not trying to go too fast in an effort to save as much time as possible.
LG I've gotten pretty good at thanks to 7sage; LR is getting better as well. My LR issue is thinking too deeply about something and/or changing my answer. So I need to work on that.
I will take a stopwatch PT tonight at the library (PT 30) to see how it goes. It's older, but still should be a good idea of where I am.
Be back later boiiis

Personally, what is working best for me is to review exactly why I missed the question and put it into a spreadsheet (think I got that idea from you?). Then I use a formula to find the mode. My main area is going too fast and not reading the stimulus carefully enough, which is probably easier to fix than getting them wrong for other reasons. That's just my take.Walliums wrote:Ok, so right now I am averaging -4/-5 per LR section. There's no common theme other than that these are just difficult questions. So, I've finally finished moving and after 7 months of loneliness with no friends I'm back in a social circle again. my question is how bad would it be to chill for a week (Work doesn't start until the 15th) until the 12 and start drilling heavy on the 4 months date.
I'm asking because I haven't really done anything fun since April

Is this a real thing that they are going to switch this year from paper? I hope not. There was speculation about it on 7sage a little before the sept LSAT IIRC.jagerbom79 wrote:Is this a real thing that they are going to switch this year from paper? I hope not. Uh oh.. I hope its wrong. I imagine that they would give a lengthy announcement saying they are considering or doing the shift within a yr or by this date. I know with CPA examinations they are undergoing changes in April 2017 but they announced that like 2 + yrs ago IIRC.Mikey wrote:There was speculation about it on 7sage a little before the sept LSAT IIRC.jagerbom79 wrote:Is this a real thing that they are going to switch this year from paper? Well they certainly wouldn't do it in June. I think we're ok. Stuff like this takes a massive roll out with plenty of warning. I would be stunned if they dropped the bomb for June.

Switching to computerized tests without giving a lengthy warning would be pretty shitty of LSAC. That would drastically change the way a lot of people (well at least me) take the test. I mark the hell out of my tests. I wouldn't mind a scenario where we still have test booklets but input the answers onto a tablet or something, but switching to completely computerized exams would be awful.

I wouldn't do it personally because I'm currently in the "holy shit the LSAT feels like it's so soon" mindset , but if you think a week off to chill with friends and such will help you buckle down and get in the zone afterwards then I say go for it.dj9i27 wrote:So, I've finally finished moving and after 7 months of loneliness with no friends I'm back in a social circle again. my question is how bad would it be to chill for a week (Work doesn't start until the 15th) until the 12 and start drilling heavy on the 4 months date.

In that case hell yeah take the break haha. The four months you'll have left when you get back is still more than most people spend studying for it total, and you've already been at it for way longer than that.dj9i27 wrote:i think I need to chill, I haven't had a break from this shit since may. and I'm already gone.blackmamba8 wrote:I wouldn't do it personally because I'm currently in the "holy shit the LSAT feels like it's so soon" mindset , but if you think a week off to chill with friends and such will help you buckle down and get in the zone afterwards then I say go for it.dj9i27 wrote:So, I've finally finished moving and after 7 months of loneliness with no friends I'm back in a social circle again. my question is how bad would it be to chill for a week (Work doesn't start until the 15th) until the 12 and start drilling heavy on the 4 months date.

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
From about Christmas time to New Years day I went on a 10 day bender and it was the best thing I could have done and then got serious again before classes started up and really having to study. You need the break. Quality over quantity. I think you want to minimize the length of not doing anything as much as you can, but if you feel this way take a couple days off. its better to do that now then in another month.dj9i27 wrote:by the time June comes around I think it'll be 11 monthsblackmamba8 wrote:In that case hell yeah take the break haha.
