Ok, that was lame, sorry :P

Are you taking PTs now or still drilling?
Both. I've been drilling sections I put together of specific question types so I can practice timing like it's a real PT. Like I'll take 27 assumption questions and try to do them in 32 minutes with a bubble sheet.

Ah, yeah, that's what I've been doing too. I'll see if it pays off in 2 wks when I start taking full exams again

So, would you all recommend spending the time on a RC book? I just finished LR and LG, and I figured I would move onto drilling/PTing/Mike's Trainer. I'm missing about -6 on RC as is. Would it be helpful to just review some TLS guides and drill, or go all out on a book?

I found the Manhattan book helpful (pretty commonly said on here that RC books are pretty much the same, and TLS is usually right about the LSAT), but you can do without. If you aren't reading with anything resembling a strategy/plan, you could probably gain something.

Are there TLS guides on different sections? Everything I've seen have been general study guides

A user named Voyager has a strategy I found helpful.

Fuck it, ill join the thread. Dont really post much on TLS - excuse the name, created this account 4 years ago (when i just started college) and mostly just lurked but I'll use this to track my progress/keep motivated till february. Just some background - took it in DEC but cancelled. I was a mess anxiety wise - just straight up freaked the f out and got maybe 3.5 hours of sleep, while the other 5 were spent lying in bed praying that I can somehow knock out. Ended up getting wrecked on LG which obviously shouldn't be happening, especially considering I thought I was pretty damn decent on LG. Trying to get to that position where I go -0 with time to spare. LR, I'm pretty damn solid in - usually -2 per section under timed and -0 if i would do it in 38 minutes or something. Trying to bring it to perfect under timed which I think is feasible considering where I am at. RC - fuck everything about this section. Just so inconsistent. There have been tests in the early 60's where I get 0 wrong or at most -2. Then late 60's, early 70s its -5. The most alarming thing is that I've been sometimes missing the main point questions (as bad as it is, I'm not sure how I manage to get -5 when I'm missing questions asking me about the general point of a passage). Apparently I cant read. Also debating how much I should notate. Either way trying to improve this section as well. Still I wouldnt even mind a -5 if I can get near perfect on LG/LR.

That being said, glad to join you guys.

I was going to write out introductions for us all, but could only get a few Feb'ers and didn't want to leave anyone out. The only ones that really matter went as follows: I'm the cool one 8) and pep is the supermodel

I lol'd at your first sentence. You lurkers creep me out, though. Glad you decided to join us haha. It sounds like you're in a good position! I'm sure you'll be kicking ass by Feb. Plus, now you've got one real take under your belt. I'm sure Feb won't seem as bad.

Haha, to be fair, by lurking I usually just search specific LSAT questions/issues I have and lurk those threads. But reading a bit of this thread, it seems its a bit more lax, which is nice having a way to talk about the LSAT in a way that doesnt make me freak out.

For those of you who were bad at LG originally, how long did it take to see significant gains?

And SweetTort always asks a LSAT-related question whenever we go off-topic.

And to your question. I diag'd like a -12 on LG and it took a couple weeks using the Trainer/Blueprint LG and watching the free 7Sage LG videos before I was cutting it down to -5. Have neglected LG as of late so I'm still stuck around -2 to -3 timed. lol

How quickly can you guys finish the LR? Its really cutting it close for me - i barely have time to bubble as I'm done with the last question, or I'll never get to the last one. I'm trying to figure out for ppl who are generally trying to score 170 and up how fast they can finish that section. i saw someone post on tls that they are able to do it in 28 minutes which is just absurd to me. Also was listening to an LSAT podcast (its called Thinking LSAT if you guys are interested) where one of the guys from Manhattan Prep said he advocated ppl finishing it in 30 minutes then going back to review the ones you arent sure about, which is still a huge stretch for me.
