Yeah, that would be nice. I just keep trying to pull my average PT score up. I was hoping at the outset to get to consistently 178+ and I feel like I'm getting there.jk148706 wrote:Bravo! I want to do this before Test day
Are you still blind reviewing at this point/do you intend to BR until the day of?
I've been doing BR for all my tests but lately my tests feel more like tests to make sure I'm still in test-shape and I hurry through BR. Granted, I've never spent more than 30 minutes in BR, but I now spend probably under 10 minutes.

To get back into it, I've been doing logic games and viewing 7sage explanations of them. Finally I went back to PTing today, and scored 180 (-1) on 58. It was rejuvenating. Granted, I've seen the material multiple times before, but it's productive to simply firm up my process.

My review is definitely different now. There are some questions I just 100% know. Like, I don't need to review it. I circle any I'm not 100% on and any I miss and review those. RC still kills me and I'm not great at reviewing it (mostly bc I'm not sure how to)foamborn wrote:Yeah, that would be nice. I just keep trying to pull my average PT score up. What PTs are you focusing on? I'm going with the 52-61 book, some other 60s tests and 71 (the dec. retake).

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Hey guys, this will be my third time taking. I'm actually going easy on the prep this time because I blame my low score (166 june '13) last year on over prep and just plain burn out. I taught a prep class for the feb test and now I'm just working on speeding up my times. I'm right at the buzzer now with -1 - -3 on all sections. I'd be more than happy with those scores and a few minutes shaved off my time going into June. Oh, and I scored a 165 in June '10 but I completely BOMBED LG. I'm shooting for the low 170's.

Used some in the 40s, bc they are fresh. Then 62-71 bc I've seen them only once each (and months ago). I've taken each of 50-59 like at least three timesOtunga wrote:Thanks.jk148706 wrote:That's awesome, O. I got another 165 on the test I took on Saturday, but made a number of silly mistakes. I'm nervous though. We only have 6 weeks, but I really only want a 168. I don't want to push to September

Didn't have an LSAT dream last night but… around 6-8am I would have these weird 5-second episodes where I'd wake up and try to solve an LR question then fall back asleep.

My dream's have had an LSAT aspect every night for the last week or so. This is probably due to hallucination causing meds and studying before bed.dasani13 wrote:Didn't have an LSAT dream last night but… around 6-8am I would have these weird 5-second episodes where I'd wake up and try to solve an LR question then fall back asleep.

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Hi all,
I'm a June retaker from December. I've already gotten into law school and got a generous scholarship, but was told if I raise my score 2 points I can get a full scholarship no doubt, and even if I don't raise it there may be some negotiation opportunities. The thing is I was practice testing about 7 points lower than what I did on the actual test day back in December.
Right now I'm PTing about the same as I was before the December exam, but have little motivation to study again considering I only have 3 months left of freedom. What do you think the chances are, if I keep studying and PTing, that I could raise my score 2 points?
I took the gre as well and had a massive point boost on actual test day, so I feel like such a large bump is typical for me but I don't want to rely on it too much...

Re: June 2014 Retakers
What kind of prep did you do before? And how much time to devote between now and June 9? I think that 2 points is definitely doable- but considering you already had a major bump from your PT level, its hard to know for sure.vicstory wrote:Hi all,

Thanks for your reply! I had been doing weekly PTs and examining where my weaknesses were, then going over strategy throughout the week a few hours per day. I have a full time job that I could not sacrifice so it took a lot of balancing. Right now I'm using the test prep and power score, previously I had used Princeton review.

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Hey guys, I took PT 70 early today and my result was pretty disappointing.
Question 4 on section 1 seems impossible. We're supposed to find a point of disagreement, but I can't seem to find one. I spent like 4min on his stupid question during the test and it's question 4!
Let me know what you think when you get to this one!
I hate this! My scores are tanking!

I'm going to bet that you nitpicked the correct answer to elimination while you were working on that question, and as a result, eliminated everything.
Would it have made you more comfortable with the correct answer if James had explicitly said "Community colleges, by their very nature, work to blahblahblah as their primary goal"?
If so, I think you need to let yourself be okay with the fact that that connection is pretty strongly implied, and every other answer choice is 117% wrong.
Spending 4 minutes on an early question puts you in a very precarious position for the rest of the section, but you know that already!!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
